edison note out today, v positive, summary below ################################## XP Power - Order intake supports growth outlook Click for report XP's IMS confirms that the improved order environment seen in H213 and early 2014 has continued through Q114. Q114 revenues grew 7% year-on-year with margin improvement over the same period. The company continues to pay down its debt and has announced a Q1 dividend in line with our expectations. As management continues to expect revenue growth in FY14, we leave our forecasts unchanged. The stock continues to trade at a discount to peers despite its profitability and dividend yield. XP Power is a developer and designer of power control solutions with production facilities in China and Vietnam; and design, service and sales teams across Europe, the US and Asia. ##########################################################

good summation Thorpematt, been looking at this one for a while now, should have bought a little earlier it would appear, but no worries, around £16 is good imo.

Recently a lot of stocks have re-traced some gains as investors become wary of over-valuation. That correction is sensible given many of the valuations. Many of those that have given back gains have been the very ones which have performed well during the last year or two as investors look to bank profits. XPP has been no exception. From my perspective I decided not to take profits here to any extent since I believe it is NOT overvalued and that it has several reasons for further improvement in EPS. In particular I actually feel that XPPs market is likely to improve when measured against the last 2-5 years which has been tough. Additionally the continued improvement in margin due to factory utilisation, lowered cap-ex and increase in own product design, creates further tailwinds. When added to the fact that this company and its management has an excellent and consistent history of TRUE growth PLUS the fact that despite being a market leader there is huge potential for increased market share, then it becomes an obvious long-term hold and IMV is NOT one of those stocks that is over-valued.

No frills, they just tell it how it is. Kind of clinical, I like it. Debts pretty much gone now, they'll be in a cash position soon, Been building a position here at these levels, 15 quid area seemed a good entry point.

Yes I need to study all the numbers later but a couple of bits I really like:- "The compound average growth rate of earnings per share has been 22% over the last 5 years and 23% over the last 10 years..." (This indicates a much higher value if you utilise PEG ratio or Graham formula for valuation) and:- " The worldwide available market for XP Power's products was estimated to be GBP1.7 billion per annum in 2013. We estimate XP Power's global market share to be around 6% in 2013.... (This indicates great opportunities exists for continued growth) I also really like the rise in own brand products particularly if you consider that the new factory is now complete. Margins improvement should continue, couple that with growth and you really have a recipe for stronger EPS.

Good results and a positive feeling to the wording. All time high coming up hopefully over the next few weeks, pity wider market a bit choppy.

£19.50 was about the high back in 2011, reaching for that imo. If you take out 2012 its a nice bowl as well ;o)
