WTF you actually have no choice now either you laugh or you sell or you could do both, clearly nobody is buying this is the most bizarre share i have ever owned.

My exit at 500p looks close to my retirement and if that is the case with these chunky dividends i will own around 5% of the company.

I am sure somebody must be getting ready to make an offer the company at this price it blows my mind that somebody like Playtech or GVC dont come in and scoop us up.

As they are cash rich the placing maybe is for an acquisition already targeted

I see that the notification is 6 weeks out of time.
Still, nice of them to own up at all, I suppose.

as much as i dont like the motley fool, here is what they say.( ps they say its a mid cap, lol, its just entered microcap status, a mid cap is £1.2 bill plus)

Another company that could help you on your way to the magic million is online marketing firm XLMedia(LSE: XLM).

This month's final results from the company were certainly impressive. Revenues rose by 33% to a record $137.6m in 2017 with adjusted earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) increasing by 36% to $47.1m.

In line with its strategy to expand both geographically and by sector, XL acquired a number of businesses over the year, including cybersecurity comparison website Securethoughts and credit card comparison site GreedyRates.

This acquisition spree has continued into 2018 with the company also purchasing various gambling-related websites from Good Game Ltd and three US-based personal finance websites.

Having fallen over 25% from the share price highs achieved in December, XL Media's stock now changes hands for 15 times earnings. Given the high ROCE and operating margins it has managed to achieve over the years, this appears to be a very reasonable valuation.

Although questions remain over the company's competitive edge and whether there was really any need for a recent $43.6m equity raise given its already solid net cash position, I certainly wouldn't blame growth-focused investors for taking a closer look at the mid-cap.

that post above, has been discussed before, its always the same, the reason fevertree is way way overvalued is cos of the sheep following sheep, fund managers/ pis arent wise enough to search for other better priced stocks.

why would anyone pay a p/e of 70.

simply cos its a british stock, but its not an disruptive stock, only so many folk want to have gin every day of the week, alcohol and tobacco is getting a bum rap these days,

folk are getting away from these.

remember mobile eye sold for $15 billion.located in Jerusalem..

fevertree actually has a p/e of 123, thats near the internet bubble price.

it has a profit of twice xlmedia but a share price almost 10 times as high.

so which stock is the cheaper one, such an easy question.

the average investor buys high and sells low

DOW up, panic over for now. Looking good here. I have noticed historically except for the odd occasion XLM falls a lot after going XD but recovers shortly afterwards.

Wish I could buy today, but it will be Monday (I receive juicy dividends that day)....looks like the resistance is bouncing and buyers have sensed that fact.Ridiculous level at present, with yield VERY attractive too.Good weekend to all holders.

Got to take a position sometime, I'm happy with the price either is now to put in and not look for sox months, i probably wouldn't be buying now if I didn't expect some good news as to what they are doing with our money from the January share issue. But I ask myself how further can this realistically fall now, and I was updated hope ory will want to firm the price up with some good news sooner rather than later

Malcolmmm,

Having raised the cash they will not want it hanging around to long on deposit it can earn a lot more if put to better use. So I believe they have targets in mind probably before June bwdik

I am hoping that a good acquisition is in the pipe line.
