Shaun, you give me the impression (from here) as a shrewd, long holding and educated investor.I am merely airing a view, one which I believe in, but in no way would endorse it or aim to influence anybody regarding placing their hard earned cash into a stock.I am, however, a very successful PI and with XLM , heavily invested here. I will be continuing my average purchasing, not just yet (see my earlier post) and as a company, have absolute confidence in it, it's Board and the future performance of its share price. If, as I suspect, you have some or all of the attributes I possess regarding both investing and XLM, I would add into your SIPP with confidence.....that is only my opinion though.Cheers for now.

Still no confirmation that the automated bot has changed direction.3 times of late the programme gives 3-4% back, but only on one day, then the walkdown continues.Think we need 2/3 days of blue/unchanged to start seeing any reversal. Those days should see chunky buying too if my theory holds.Long term I am not concerned, and sadly I can't add at present, but if the above scenario plays out, I would advise the wise to pile in, as an upward retrace should be fairly aggressive. We'll see, it is only a theory....imho.

I would rather XLM buy the right business (es) slowly than the wrong business quickly (especially because of share price weakness). Also I agree that 2.5 months is not a long time in the acquisition process. Deals usually take 6-9 months in my experience.

Why are people concerned that no acquisition has taken place?

Surely this shows how well run the company is - not interested in buying the wrong business/website or buying at the wrong price. Just because they have money, doesnt mean they have to spend it on expensive or risky investments.

There will ALWAYS be business opportunities that come to XL Media - it's the directors job to ensure we invest in the right business at the right price.

CEOs with big egos will always look to BUY BUY BUY and get the business in the spotlight. Just look at CVR - they went shopping and bought big then it came tumbling down quick.y

If it takes you 6 months to work out whether a company you're planning on buying is telling you porkies or not, I'd suggest you're in the wrong job.

largeronald - have you ever been part of a significant acquisition deal? I am guessing not, 2.5 months is nothing. I would rather Ory and crew have the money in place and spend 6 months doing quality due diligence than just rush things just to make the likes of you happy.

oneillshaun - courtesy of the fundraising RNS:

XLMedia (AIM: XLM), a leading provider of digital performance marketing, is pleased to announce its intention to conduct a placing of up to 16 million new ordinary shares in the Company (the "Placing Shares") to fund its ongoing acquisition strategy (the "Placing")....

...The Board has identified a strong pipeline of acquisition opportunities and is in various stages of due diligence with respect to several of these opportunities, although there can be no certainty that these will lead to successful acquisitions in the near term. The Board therefore believes the Placing will better position the Group to take advantage of the opportunities as they become available.

This was over 2.5 months ago, so it looks like none of those in due diligence have come to fruition.

Acamas - I know Ory pretty well and no way on this earth he wants 200p he sees things way bigger than that everybody does.

But with this kind of drop a cheeky buyer could come in, i have said it in the past i could see 100 great reasons why GVC would be all over us and this price would be a steal, not just GVC also Playtech. For other like Gaming Innovation Group and Catena we are beyond there reach.
