IPO Capital don’t appear to be having much luck on their investments. Having substantial incurred losses up to March 2019, including an investment in Rapid Nutrition since 2012, they acquired 1m Whetstone shares in Oct 2019, coincidentally the same date as David Papworth acquired 2m shares. Possibly part of the placing @.001p? Allan Biggar was allocated 2.5m same day. Others
Finsbury Nominees 2m. Mark Butterfield (of IPO) 500k. Jean Giles 500k (also IPO).
Placing not reported until 22nd January 2020.
Wonder if they expect any return from Whetstone?

I don't know that they have/had an investment in WHET. There is no evidence of investments under assets, and no reference to such an investment under related parties items. Equally, there is no reference to the activities that took place during the year, which resulted in negative net assets increasing from £2k to £533k, a figure matched by net liabilities. Could AB have played a role in this transformation?

@ abadan2

Did you find where they accounted for their investment in Whetstone in their accounts?

The GRC World Forum accounts show that Allan Biggar owed the company £10,000 at 30 Nov 2019, but this sum was written off in the accounts as the board considered there was little chance of recovering the funds. WRN and WHET seem to have attract these high rollers!

Data Protection World Forum Ltd looks interesting. Now GRC World Forums Ltd after change of name 2020 and after the resignation of Allan Biggar in 2019. A “trusted information source” re “governance, risk & compliance professionals”.

Well there you go.

What did JJW say last year about people posting on Christmas Day? Btw Santa is more likely to exist than these brown envelopes that are being delivered by snails :)

I see one Thomas Williams still owns over £400k shares. I wonder how he's explaining that to his family over Christmas gruel.

Not all of them Roy, I guess those held at brokers are not there, my tiny holding isn't.

Couldn't see nurse Paula on there :-)

A peaceful and as happy as you can make it Christmas to all.
If you get bored reading the 2000 page Brexit agreement you can peruse the confirmation statement showing all the shareholders of Whetstone.

It's a shame WHET sold out of RAP. After all their slimming pills can cure coronavirus; apparantly.

Seasons greetings - it’s been a horrible year - Worthingone still suspended and still on radio silent - Whetstone suspended without explanation and on radio silence - the Royal Mail unable to cope with a dozen brown envelopes all gone missing under the parcel mountain - and a pandemic just to rub it in... let’s just hope 2021 is a better year because it can’t get any worse (surely?)

This turkey is completely stuffed.
The goose is cooked.

We have one reason to cheer this year, we’ve seen the back of two narcissistic, pathological liars with dodgy tans.

Merry Christmas to all the honest folks out there, happy and healthy 2021.

Cheers, Luke
