16/1/2021 20:32 | hi babbler. hope you and yours well. may i ask, what do you think is the main lesson that investors can learn from WRN, looking back? | spikeyj
16/1/2021 20:07 | Just checking in for the first time in a year. Guessing nothing ever happening. Not even sure I still have the shares or not. Not showing on Halifaf. Hey ho was an expensive lesson.Hope all are well. | babbler

However the valuation will still be the same, sensu vaneric1 ... | davidkip
07/1/2021 07:35 | I don’t believe Worthington or Whetstone now exists - of course most of us know someone who had covid but there will always be some people who refuse to accept the evidence.... | knigel
07/1/2021 00:39 | Sorry David but i have a lot more shares than that, Vaneric i work in Resus now and going back to work after my break now to keep my lovely patients alive and well, anyway i suppose you lot don't beleive that Covid exists as well, crazy people. | paula1919
05/1/2021 17:03 | WHET website is now defunct
hxxp://whetstone.capital
(gives some adverts about knife sharpening, ironically given "sharpest knife in the drawer" and all that)
There is a Paula on the register with 322 shares. Presumably dials-in from her private Caribbean island. | davidkip
05/1/2021 13:52 | How many of the 10 deals lined up for WRN has WHET made so far?
Very patient vendors I have to say. | arthur_lame_stocks

28/12/2020 10:02 | You should be out doing vaccine jabs nursey. | vaneric1

27/12/2020 11:19 | IPO Capital don’t appear to be having much luck on their investments. Having substantial incurred losses up to March 2019, including an investment in Rapid Nutrition since 2012, they acquired 1m Whetstone shares in Oct 2019, coincidentally the same date as David Papworth acquired 2m shares. Possibly part of the placing @.001p? Allan Biggar was allocated 2.5m same day. Others
Finsbury Nominees 2m. Mark Butterfield (of IPO) 500k. Jean Giles 500k (also IPO).
Placing not reported until 22nd January 2020.
Wonder if they expect any return from Whetstone? | wfcreserves
26/12/2020 20:06 | I don't know that they have/had an investment in WHET. There is no evidence of investments under assets, and no reference to such an investment under related parties items. Equally, there is no reference to the activities that took place during the year, which resulted in negative net assets increasing from £2k to £533k, a figure matched by net liabilities. Could AB have played a role in this transformation? | abadan2
26/12/2020 12:49 | @ abadan2
Did you find where they accounted for their investment in Whetstone in their accounts? | wfcreserves
26/12/2020 12:11 | The GRC World Forum accounts show that Allan Biggar owed the company £10,000 at 30 Nov 2019, but this sum was written off in the accounts as the board considered there was little chance of recovering the funds. WRN and WHET seem to have attract these high rollers! | abadan2
26/12/2020 10:26 | Re post 1674
Data Protection World Forum Ltd looks interesting. Now GRC World Forums Ltd after change of name 2020 and after the resignation of Allan Biggar in 2019. A “trusted information source” re “governance, risk & compliance professionals”.
Well there you go. | wfcreserves
25/12/2020 22:20 | What did JJW say last year about people posting on Christmas Day? Btw Santa is more likely to exist than these brown envelopes that are being delivered by snails :) | knigel
