volsung - as always - there IS sustainable forestry

gtranslate

In its essence, selective forest management is the original form of forest exploitation. Man took only what he needed from the forest. As long as the needs were not too great, the forest was regularly restored and preserved. Over time, the needs increased and man encroached on the forest more and more often, and the forest could no longer regenerate itself. The forest became poorer and poorer, and in the end it was destroyed by man.

Of course, this did not go unnoticed. Different forms of management began to appear, which were supposed to ensure sustainability, but were still too destructive for the forest. Towards the end of the 19th century, individual foresters became aware of the failure of the established forms of management and began to develop real selective management, which ensures the sustainable exploitation of the forest. In the world, the main initiators of electoral management were the Swiss Amonn and Biolley, while the initiators in our country were Hufnagel, Schollmayer, Pahernik and Pogačnik. The clearing method of management was intensively introduced after the Second World War until, at the end of the 20th century, it merged into a form of management called the relaxed forestry technique (STGG).

The main characteristic of selective management is that we pay attention to individual trees and not to stands, as is typical of other forms. Because of this, selective management is much more difficult to implement, we have to monitor the forest carefully at all times and control the implemented measures. We need to know the tree species and their requirements well, as well as the conditions of the individual site. The correct implementation of selective management ensures the sustainability of the forest, the sustainability of forest yields for the owner, and at the same time the forest performs all its functions at all times.

Online limits have dropped significantly over the last hour, some retail brokers are 'at best' on just £1k of stock.

IG now want a premium for decent size.

Looks positive.

Breaking down yet again 0.35 bid - 0.45 offered. huge %age spread but seems to be trading well within the spread - Buyers - Gamblers or wise? Sellers - Salvaging what they can or missing out on recovery?

Like betting on the hidden card in strip poker!!

hxxps://www.alibaba.com/showroom/african-hardwood-logs.html

eg 3 loggers times 10 m3 per day times 300 days equals 9.000 m3 per year

times 150 usd/m3 equals - at the road price

1.350.000 usd ..... per year

real end prices are 200 - 300 per m3

you get the picture i hope
on the size of operation in real life....

now about gross margin .... here it is 20 eur/m3 logging cost - cut and clean log on the road ....

so the gross margin for me - after paying for logging is 20/ lets say conservative 100 eur

75 per cent

so funny all this

25 pc gross margin in afrika with hard wood indicates full scale stupidity or a grand scale corruption my friend said. i do not know if true. without saw mill margin should be much higher. with saw mill even higher.

i looked up productivity standards of logging where i live. 10- 13 m3 per day per person. times 300 days equals 3.000 m3 per person per year.

now look at their numbers - it is all to tell - even to those who do not know nothing about logging.

we are having a gold mine property being sold for nothing.

...Daily output (Figure 4) increases from 9.65 m3/day for the DBH class 17.5 cm to 45.89 m3/day for the
DBH class 72.5 cm,....

translated into foreigner english - they have a team of 3 boys and a tractor lol at the real cost of logging equipment up to 50k, with high tech up to 100k - that is about real more or less - for your money after all these years .... so funny ..... not lack of knowledge ... but ignorance...

this co has not a lot to do with the real forestry ... just start asking the experts... or read just a little bit -
that i was told... might not be true...

Sydbank is a (large) Danish bank.

Denmark is the land of "hygge"

Clearly, though, Sydbank is NOT into tree-hygging.

low volatility at these huge vols makes no sense to me
