Not EBITDA Volvo but underlying pre tax profit will be hopefully £35m or more given that in the trading update of 22/7/20 the company said:-

"...we expect our full-year underlying profit before tax to be significantly ahead of current market forecasts and not less than £30m..."

Then we have the latest Sep 9 update confirming:-

"... a continued improvement in profitability in July and August,..."

and again a further:-

"...the Board expects results for the current year to be materially ahead of market expectations"

...with the caveat of no further severe covid restrictions.

elliot, Wincanton are the largest 3rd party logistics company in the UK employing over 19000 people, financially sound and doing much of what Clipper do....a pe10-12 would quite normal, but it should to be higher as the company are on a growth run.

Hopefully on Friday, the company will say...'yes we were knocked about during the Covid lockdown and we expect EDITDA of £35m. But trading now is back pre-covid levels and above with our new contracts and higher levels generally and 2020-21 should see profit a turnover greatly increase'.

Time will tell

Of course I believe you Volvo! :)) I have called CEOs in the past and got a couple of conversations, one of the them was weird enough to convince me to sell out two weeks before the company went bust (when I asked about the gearing worries he said "well I am not about to hold a gun to my head" - the fact that he even had that idea in his mind not to mention his other somewhat bizarre answers did not inspire confidence! A narrow escape there!). No, I was just interested to know who was happy to talk...

ed don't you believe me lol.

Confirmation email from Winanton. Try investor relations or Tim Lawlor.

The last trading update was short of detail, and was to really put out as the share price was being blown about, downwards mainly.

Expect a more detailed update. News on Greenford/Waitrose e-fulfillment/digital etc pushing home the growth story for 2021...and try and steal the some limelight from Clipper.

Rivaldo...left field, you suggested via press that Clipper is having the rule put over it re takeover....look no further than Wincanton for that, dirt cheap well funded, and already doing plenty of the Clipper stuff and really easy do adapt. Just the sort of company that Warren Buffet would buy and turn into No1.

Talked to Wincanton today, trading statement to lay things out going forward.

They feel very underrated compared to Clipper.

Roll on Friday.

Clipper supposedly are more of a pure e-fulfillment and returns, seen as the new hot play as online says goodbye to the high street.

....as pointed out to me, 'Wincanton can adapt to the new new, and do everything Clipper is doing as it is doing much of the same already'.

Online delivery is here to stay...step up the UK's largest 3rd party logistic company, double the size of Clipper.

Clipper are now at new highs - the Times this morning is reporting rumours of bid interest, especially as it was looked at by Sun Capital earlier this year.

You'd have thought attention would turn to WIN given (1) the disparity in valuations and (2) takeover interest for a major competitor.

Clipper Logistics breaking out again to silly levels, come on WIN.

See the seller is showing their hand.

Tellworth (Benn Bridge) selling down below 5pc. Their fund has been under pressure, maybe redemptions imo.

Got to bust above 250p, so undervalued, and employing a high rate as other regretfully companies struggle.

Come on Mr Lawlor time for an update.

...another £560k worth of stock sold/bought.

All good news here, because a current holder is selling and a new/existing holder is stepping up.

When the seller has done, we should see a steep recovery.

If you take a trend line from beginning of August, generally speaking, this stock is going up. eg: from 178 to 192. So I guess, you could argue we're in a rising trend (looking at picture over last month and a half).
