01/10/2020 08:11 | Moving up Are we still getting a trading update tomorrow ?Thought we already had one in September ! | s34icknote
01/10/2020 08:00 | Well, it does look like it's starting to go through that 200 resistance area. | owenski
01/10/2020 07:59 | It was difficult yesterday as well. I've been following win for months, the price is somewhat an anomaly which I expect will close. | celeritas
01/10/2020 07:58 | Well, someone just bought £20k's worth at the full 208p offer, which is good to see. | rivaldo
01/10/2020 07:40 | Difficult to buy this morning | farukequity
01/10/2020 07:16 | You would hope so. Tomorrow we get a detailed trading update and you would like to believe a reconfirmation of large growth in digital and e-fulfilment (Waitrose update in particular) - and that trading is back to pre covid levels, should give the share price abit of juice. Lets see...all of 48 shares traded so far at 8.17am lol. | volvo
01/10/2020 06:47 | There are news reports this morning about a number of buyout funds cating their eyes over Clipper - this from the Times today: "The stock closed up 1.6 per cent at 487½p yesterday, valuing the business at almost £500 million. It has rallied 79 per cent this year thanks to the boom in online shopping during lockdown while it also won a government contract to distribute PPE." All this is surely bound to increase market interest in WIN. | rivaldo
30/9/2020 12:33 | Clipper pushing upwards to half a £billion, while we have a seller shifting stock. Looks like news coming there...we should get some read across. My advice to the directors is just follow the Clipper Logistics route lock stock and barrel. Markets want digital e-fulfilment returns a bit of warehousing...apart from the returns we do the rest. | volvo
29/9/2020 09:22 | VOLVO: I'm not so interested in share price on a specific day, I'm looking for a good trend up for a few months. WINS have been going up (but slowly since JULY - nothing wrong with that) - I want to know how long it will last. Looking at JAN and FEB months tends to suggest we'll be lucky to get to 2.50.... However with the paradigm shift we might get 5.50 .... Interesting times - trend up that is all that counts for now. But as we approach 2.50 I will want to feel more confident. | netcurtains
29/9/2020 09:14 | net, the market has taken Clipper Logistics as the company that is going to benefit for years to come from the permanent online shopping boom, and gifted it a pe in the 30's. Sad Wincanton, apparently won't benefit as much and it gets a pe of 4 to 6. Except in the trading statement of 9th September said....'The Digital and eFulfilment business is benefitting from an increase in demand for online retail, with revenue significantly ahead of pre-COVID-19 levels'. Wincanton are ideally positioned right now, and hopefully in Fridays trading statement this will be spelt out. What share price friday? | volvo
29/9/2020 08:20 | elliotset: Do we know why this came down from £3 before March? Was that just a normal trade cycle (shaking the trees) or was there some bad news? I'm talking Jan and Feb 2020. Those are the key months to unravel where this is going. | netcurtains
28/9/2020 21:38 | Great to see some late buys at 209p reported after the close. Hopefully that bodes well for tomorrow too. | rivaldo
28/9/2020 20:23 | Disappointed Until over £3.00 | elliotset
28/9/2020 16:24 | As posted we get a detailed update this Friday. The company has strongly hinted that trading is back to pre-covid levels which was £50m profit and £1.2 billion turnover. But there is growth too...Waitrose Greenford is forecasting a new £50m per annum for example starting January 2021.. Valuation is too low, and 300p plus is much more realistic, £50m profit market cap £260m, somethings not right especially when online and logistics are all the fashion. Roll on Friday. | volvo
28/9/2020 15:47 | ....with tungsten | netcurtains
28/9/2020 15:38 | Looks nailed on ! | s34icknote
28/9/2020 15:35 | Breakout. Price closes up 4.5% @ 209 Quite possibly the first significant bullish price move for a very long time. | sphere25
28/9/2020 15:17 | Trading update this Friday. | alan@bj
28/9/2020 14:33 | 206p bid?! Breakout! | edmundshaw
28/9/2020 14:31 | About to pop !!!! | s34icknote
28/9/2020 14:30 | Movement Price has jumped up 4% to 208 | sphere25
28/9/2020 14:09 | Another decent chunk of 235k gone through. Following the theme of much larger exchanges here recently - good to see larger buyers coming in to clear out sellers at this level and hopefully start putting more upward pressure on the price. We're just stuck atm doing a whole load of nothing. EDIT: Couple of 10ks on the bid at 200 - slightly unusual activity for WIN. Full ask at 203 atm. | sphere25
28/9/2020 10:33 | I've been wanting to add more, but 9% of portfolio is already 50%+ above my usual weighting... | edmundshaw
28/9/2020 09:47 | Hello....bid price now up to 200p, and buying is at the full 201p offer. Looking interesting.... | rivaldo
27/9/2020 17:37 | albert3591: High Security? The UK? I saw Johnson using zoom to communicate with his cabinet. You couldn't make it up: If clipper are relying on UK "high security" heaven help their share price when it all goes pear shaped. | netcurtains |
