EARNINGS UPGRADES

Numis analyst Steve Woolf upgraded his earnings forecasts for the second time in two months, commenting: ‘Improved demand in eFulfilment and group-wide operational efficiencies have driven an 11% increase in our earnings forecasts.

‘Wincanton's activity in supporting on-line retail is increasing, and we believe the potential to access higher growth from this area is not yet factored into the share price. We reiterate our Buy rating’.

WIN look even cheaper now - a lot more upside coming soon. I've topped up on this morning's dip.

Good coverage here, with a little analyst comment as below:

"Shore Capital analysts said that today’s announcement was a “further positive” for the firm after the string of contract wins.

“The strong performance in both digital and e-fulfilment is consistent with the commentary from the logistics sector, in general”, they added.

“The fact that results are expected to be materially ahead of market expectations, is likely to be well received by the market.”

Net,

"Working from home appears to be helping WINS and working from home is here to stay for many people - perhaps forever."

... it's the buying from home that results from it that is the big shift... in my humble

Regards to all

Or put it another way I dont feel at all stressed about my WINs investment now that the management have come out and said "We're doing better then you think".

Working from home appears to be helping WINS and working from home is here to stay for many people - perhaps forever.

sicknote - Unicorn Asset Management Limited were buying last week.

Anyhow the brokers will be bought in now the news is out, and they will put their notes out soon.

I expect a price target rise to 350p.

Who cares who sells as long as the story is good and now the company have come out and said it upfront this should rise to roughly where it was pre-covid if not a great deal higher. I think VOLVO is right this is a great INVESTMENT not really a TRADE - if you see what I mean. Personally I would like to stick it out to see £3-£4 but lets see how the months go.

I think we might get a few press write ups as the story is quite good and the price really has not risen a great deal so it would appear there is plenty more in store over the next week or so..

Around Greenford West London, all the talk is about the new Wincanton/Waitrose tie up.

800 new jobs, thats quite a few new jobs at this particular time.

The new management roles are being interviewed and finalised, then the rank and file mass employment required. Fully operational by January 2021.

25000 deliveries a week, as the company says 'transformational'.

...worth noting that nationally, Waitrose are still looking for an Ocado replacement, step forward Wincanton, you heard it here first. Have you seen Ocado's market cap :)

Sell!...today is an opportunity to average up.

The race result was announced at 7am today.

Buy today and wait for November results at least...I guarantee, as much I suppose I can, that the share price will reflect the fact that Wincanton are in the sweet spot, not many others can say that atm.

Clipper Logistics do what WIN does on a smaller scale and put out a trading statement like this.

Clipper 500m turnover and profit 24m market cap 423m

Wincanton 1200m turnover and profit 30-40m (now forecast) market cap 224m

....go figure

Well done to the FD for this update.

The directors could see the jitters were mounting...and they were undeserved, the company is back to pre covid levels....AND it has large growth opportunities in E-fulfilment, Waitrose deal will be a game changer, up to 10pc of gross turnover.

Pre covid levels were 300p

Phew! Sounds like they sensed my panic yesterday - it was a good time to let the market know with Royal Mail bouncing up 25% -
the market did need to know that we are "materially ahead of market expectations" because the market has been reading this all wrong as VOLVO has been saying

Let those trucks roll

Aaaah - the best sentence that investors can wake up to....

"the Board expects results for the current year to be materially ahead of market expectations"

Very undervalued now.
