Yes great results today and a 15.2% rise in full year divi!

The Board recommends a final dividend payment of 33.75p per share, making a total dividend for the year of 51.25p per share, an increase of 15.2%. The final dividend will be paid on 13 July 2012 to shareholders on the register at the close of business on 18 May 2012.

Results out on 26th April and i am expecting a decent final divi going ex in mid may. Therefore looking for this to break through 1900 next week.

I notice that Costas has a web feedback page. My latest entry :

"At the Reading services on Sunday, the Costas counter was taking the money for the food. It took them so long to get around to taking my money from me my breakfast had gone cold before I got to a table. There was no cutlery available - and all this despite the fact I wasn't ording any dishwater (sorry, coffee).

I already take my own flask, it looks like I'll soon have to take my own food - or find a Garden Centre, where you can still get a good service at a reasonable price."

The guy who just opened his second costa in our town six months ago has just got a loan from the bank to open two more costa's.
It would appear that other franchisers are also expanding.
This part of the business seems to be performing well and as mentioned i think the hotels will benefit from the olympics etc.
Should be a good year for whitbread.
