18/11/2019 11:09 | I can't see the total of any individual trades from ii (old TDW) of WEY or others, I rang them and they couldn't explain other than Morningstar that shows their formats must be to blame..anybody using ii here.?, I see there has been 8 trades this morning, shows how much the trade was at,albeit you still have to guess it a buy or sell. but no ammounts shown to the trade..thanks if anyone has been using ii | abergele
18/11/2019 10:32 | Aargh - you're right. Just reread the .pdf on Companies House web site and it clearly states WEY Education is the parent company. Apologies to all for the incorrect posting. Post No. 2195 withdrawn. | zulu_principle
18/11/2019 10:13 | netcurtains I reckon that sector could get a discount for bulk/volume !! | smithie6

18/11/2019 09:52 | today's RNS so an existing shareholder has bt £80.6k more shares in a trade linked to a director of a subsidiary & the chairman a +ve indicator | smithie6
18/11/2019 09:47 | Yes Language is big business. In order to become a British National you need to pass this test: You must pass a Secure English Language Test (SELT) in at least CEFR level B1 in Speaking and Listening for: Indefinite Leave to Remain (to settle) or British Citizenship. What is B1: WEY Education explains: | netcurtains
18/11/2019 09:47 | growth its worth noting I think that ~35% was the disclosed organic growth the group is made up of diff. sections, different products etc (under 2 main subsidiaries) so, imo, some parts might/will be seeing 10% (35%-10% =25%) growth while another might/will be seeing 60% ! (35%+ 25%) :-) | smithie6
18/11/2019 09:43 | At least we are traveling in the right direction this morning,, blue skies here and I see blue from WEY..gla lth's | abergele
18/11/2019 09:28 | I strongly disagree that website says "Family Sites www.weyeducation.com www.interhigh.co.uk www.academy21.co.uk" & it was mentioned in an old RNS & included in an investor presentation it is clearly part of WEY --- the turnover is miniscule btw ---- & in those accounts it states it is a subsidiary of Wey ---- why do you post something that you know is a lie ?? | smithie6
18/11/2019 09:05 | Post withdrawn - factually incorect! Apologies to all. | zulu_principle

18/11/2019 08:44 | ...how the WEY on-line teaching of English works... "Our students connect onto our learning platform through the internet and are taught in a ‘virtual classroom setting’.... " here is a link to a web page that explains/illustrates it at Quoralexis.com a WEY website hxxps://quoralexis.c | smithie6
17/11/2019 18:23 | one interesting possible factor is that the valuation at ~11p-12p is arguably about right however-although-but & if no one is selling then we only need a small amount of buyers to gradually push the share price up over time. ..its one possible theory/argument anyway | smithie6
17/11/2019 17:20 | The growth attracted me and also the hype seems to have subsided compared to a year or so ago. Seem to be plenty of hyped businesses that have hardly any topline growth and you cant get anywhere much without that. | yump
17/11/2019 17:16 | compound growth 'if' organic turnover growth can continue for 2 years at the same rate (~35% organic) then the turnover would be 1.8 X what it was in last fin. year. & would be 10.9M, up from 6M !! fingers crossed (the bod appear quite bullish as shown by having taken on 1 more exec. dir. & now trying to take on 1 more !; the costs of which Im not so overjoyed about but the bod see the full info & surely a lot more business skilled than me; clearly they think the co. can shoulder the costs & that it is needed, one assumes due to on going growth in turnover) | smithie6
17/11/2019 17:09 | yump imho the key indicators for the numbers & also aspects for valueing the shares are - the high growth % in organic turnover at present & in the last few years (& in the sector generally); in such a case the importance of profitability number can be ignored imo - confidence of the bod that growth will continue - solid organic growth in the number of courses offerred - the cash held above what has been paid in advance for courses is high & affects the nett Enterprise Value - the WEY course material also has a value to a bigger co. that could offer the WEY courses to their own existing customers & outlets & get a good return on their investment, if they bought WEY ---- if the cash held is 6M or a nett of 4M if one removes about 2M for course money paid in advance....is not the biggest driver/factor for the fair cap. value of WEY, imo | smithie6
15/11/2019 21:42 | interesting part of that article says "Earlier this year the DfE, in its recruitment and retention strategy, called on headteachers to “transformR (flexible teaching hours...flexible lifestyles...flexibl | smithie6
15/11/2019 18:52 | I wonder whether the hinted at work with the DfE might be linked to future waves of this funding stream, which provides a clear opportunity: I think investors should reflect on the meaning of this from the results: "We have continued to regularly engage with the Department for Education to assist in their desire to implement voluntary registration of online education provision." 15/11/2019 14:32 | Thanks for explanations. Every time I think I understand accounting it turns out I dont. Bit like reading a brief history of time - get through a few chapters and then have to go back to the start ! | yump |
