04/11/2019 08:17 | Looks like a 6-month flag on the chart to me... Let's hope the catalyst to break upwards is the upcoming results?? | cyberbub
29/10/2019 12:52 | Just spoke to Wey Education and the final results "will be in the next 2 weeks or so" | 666james
29/10/2019 10:43 | True BBB, but they normally hold these things to explain some new thing (eg business venture to China, or buying another company, or new technology ) | netcurtains
29/10/2019 10:26 | Final results? That was 29th Oct last year. | bigboyblue
29/10/2019 09:13 | ...so getting near the shareholder discussion (beginning of November). Anyone here going? Suspect probably some new news otherwise why have it? | netcurtains

11/10/2019 19:29 | Well better to end the week up, and blue,,glall | abergele
10/10/2019 09:47 | Quite, netcurtains, Just noticed the times against the 97k sell and it's seconds after the first buy,and today's rise has been in 2 immediate responses, hence the sell must be a buy that caused the complete increase,,,gl mate | abergele
10/10/2019 09:15 | abergele: perhaps because WEY started advertising on LBC again today - sort of implies last LBC set of adverts worked quite well otherwise why do it again (cant be that cheap as its a national radio station). | netcurtains
10/10/2019 08:59 | A cheery blue start to the day, great to see..gla lth's | abergele
09/10/2019 17:28 | Why 3 trading days before the drop? I was hoping that 1.5million was a buy as we never moved, now we slip on majority buys, strange happenings.. Since the 4th to now we have a 320k more sells scenario, excluding that 1.5mill trade, I do hope another delayed amount should appear Sadly to admit a buying opportunity at a lower level..gla lth's | abergele
09/10/2019 15:25 | Academy21 says this: Academy21 is part of Wey Education - the largest provider of live, interactive and online education in the UK.......... Pupils enrolled with Academy21 can learn from any suitable location where there is a broadband connection and computer. This is usually from a home, school, PRU, AP setting or other learning centre. Learners remain on roll locally with all attendance and progress data provided 24/7 to the designated school or local authority officer via our online reporting systems. Thus Academy21 is blended and InterHigh is not Cheers Net | netcurtains
08/10/2019 22:31 | Netcurtains are Wey doing physical classrooms and online classes? I had not heard about this. I have listened to their online talks and they claimed it was blended learning. Most confusing. | junderwood
07/10/2019 17:38 | Big 1.5M trade today,, seems to be dated today but could be a worked sell over a few days. I would think it has to be a sell? If so, let's see the effect on the share price .. Could it be related to the recent options? The Massie Estate selling to reduce any tax bills? Just speculation. | cyberbub
07/10/2019 13:03 | psst chaps, WEY have big cash pile, makes money, is growing fast and has a good news pipeline. What about the industry generally? Does Forbes Magazine have anything to say? Yeah plenty: | netcurtains
07/10/2019 08:17 | learning languages is a big never ending mkt including in public schools in Hungary as shown by this article (& surely the use of IT or on-line learning will increase as part of that learning process) hxxps://www.xpatloop | smithie6
06/10/2019 20:40 | so, I see its not part of WEY -- I see they offer a module for improving your English IELTS £399 I wonder how that compares to what WEY offer for learning English (or improving one's level) & comparison in price. | smithie6
06/10/2019 20:29 | that website says "The new trend in education The learning landscape is radically changing; we now live in a digital age which has seen the widespread integration of technology into our society. Today’s generation is accustomed to incorporating digital information into their lives, so we shouldn’t expect the classroom to be any different. It is an exciting time for blended learning; the wave of increasingly affordable and advanced educational technology has enabled online learning to become well established in education. .... ... " --- definitely a sector seeing high growth going to continue (personally I think teaching should be tailored to each child ! & to adjust each subject's learning process to the progress of that 1 child not cost effective phps to do that today but as software gets 'cleverer' & AI grows & gets cheaper to implement then surely it will happen (AI was wasnt by the co. I think in last results) | smithie6
06/10/2019 20:20 | is that web site part of WEY ? | smithie6
05/10/2019 12:19 | For those that dont understand the terms Mr Underwood is using "blended learning" means sitting in a class room and having the internet combined. According to the Centre for Digital Education’s 2015 survey, the main benefits experienced by schools transitioning to personalised learning include: Student engagement was increased by 69% Student retention rates rose by 39% Test scores improved by 28% Grade rates up by 22% | netcurtains
04/10/2019 16:51 | It’s great the company has increased to 10.5p but it was at 40p. Seems to be quite a few online schools coming into the market and if the grades, lessons, teachers are not up to the mark this could effect the price. | junderwood
04/10/2019 16:47 | When it’s good times MJ I’m happy to leave it be. However, those negative points previously seemed serious enough for me to raise concerns with other shareholders. I’ve spoken to To y at Interhigh and he’s confirmed a lot of this included blended learning, which seems like something OFSTED would fail and would majorly effect the share price. Finally, none of this was discussed to shareholders at the AGM, which you would think Jackie CEO would have mentioned as a major change. | junderwood
04/10/2019 11:18 | Another question for you Junderwood - where have you been since May? Junderwood, who has described himself as a concerned shareholder, posted a number of negative posts in April/May just before WEY's Interims - he was concerned about large class sizes. At that time the share price was drifting lower but when the interims were released on 10 May the share price shot up by over 100%. We had not heard from Junderwood since before the Interims but this week he is back with some more negative comments - funnily enough just before the (likely to be good) finals due shortly. | mjcrockett |
