That’s been made abundantly clear already, schools get the highest priority.

Got a feeling they will sacrifice the pubs and keep schools open and shops .Blackpools been hammered but I could have predicted that yesterday as the only place with no restrictions in Lancashire. Its not rocket science

Reading the reports tonight a curfew seems to be the more likely option rather than closing all pubs.

Shame Rory Stewart withdrew from the London Majoral election. He would have got my vote.

He is barking mad but very, very clever.

I'm not a tory but I liked Rory Stewart. You threw him out lol .I'm sure he would have handled this better with his background, but these was unforseen circumstances and brexit was the only thing that mattered .

Well if 'Big Boris' locks down again even for two weeks, in my humble opinion he has a full economic depression on his hands.

I guess with the press comments that he already has a new mistress on the side (Russian violinist so they say) his mind is on other things.

Bring back Mrs.May - now I never thought I would say that.

I really don't see them staying open if cases increase. People say why can't I visit relatives but you can mix in the pub with no mask .Especially in winter with no outside facilities. We shall see.

I think stricter rules are more likely than total close down.

For the whole of last month he successfully encouraged thousands to visit pubs!

If he does close them again he is in a difficult position.

Either he admits he made a mistake opening them to soon or he blames the public who voted him in for not adhering to the rules.

When these pubs opened I thought the rules was table service no loud music etc. That lasted about a week but wetherspoons would have mainly been doing that .If proper measures are put in place its not particularly dangerous .It won't be any different in a few weeks after a temporary lockdown .It will just keep recurring until a vaccine .

It's beginning to look like another round of forced closures for pubs.

Government will have to step up with additional significant support.

Would not rule out more fund raising for the sector in 2021 to navigate this
clusterf..k that is COVID.

thanks konradpuss, aye it was the on-line that kept things going. I knew the warehouse was at capacity, albeit at reduced staffing, but they seem to have excelled with their structures and processes, still keeping it on as a potential short tho, they moved over £1b to their longterm liabilities, increases of 30% on last year, so sitting at c£3b long term liabilities, although they did state in the results this week, that they'll not re-new one of the Notes - so therefore no coupon payments on that tranche of debt. Still beggars belief tho, Lloyds is looking like a solid buy, just tipped over 4% yield, which is not shabby in these markets, i expect the mkts to take a fall again this week, and we've also got the FTSE reshuffle, whose in / whose out.

could be a great trading week.
