wry smile ! no wonder that covid 19 will not be under control any time soon. By Spoons not being compliant , they are thinking about profits and short term but maybe they think they will not be around long term !
JDW has had a good bounce after early weakness .

If you can predict the way the pandemic will playout you can make money .If on the other hand you just think it will all go away like trump you will lose .Imo of course.

zztop, fill your boots then.

Most people here are looking at this from an investment point of view
and the views expressed are in that context.

Eat out to help out was, in hindsight, not such a good idea after all.

Greggs another well run company usually is dropping like a stone as well .They must be good longterm opportunities. A vaccine would be a huge game changer .The sensible scientists say around March is possible .

Thats all we can do wear a mask wash hands etc and I really don't see what a small lockdown does .It just pushes it further down the line .When we come out the vulnerable ones still are .I have changed my mind on this but I think the fear of the unknown ,how we react to the illness will keep many from visiting hospitality .Also those that visit or live with the vulnerable cant socialise. Liz hurley was on last night saying she wouldn't visit a cinema because she's living with mum .It must affect pubs takings for quite some time.

People can't follow simple rules, this is what is causing a rise in Covid-19. Remember that in Feb - Mar, deaths started slowly then accelerated as it spread and took hold. The last two months, all these stupid people who had to have a holiday abroad or big parties, but mostly stupid people going out to pubs, in mass gatherings. It's not the youngsters who suffer, but their older members of family. All these businesses and council leaders who have been moaning about wanting the country to be opened up quickly,. Wash your hands, wear a mask and keep your distance.

That’s what I had in late March, my partner worked with a number of people who later
tested positive in hospital. As did notget tested can't be sure and
also don't recall loss of taste, it was mainly a completely wiped out feeling.

I guess the thing is, none of us know how our bodies will deal with Covid19 until we get it. I don't know or know of many people who have had Covid19, the one's that have thankfully survived having had the classic flu type symptoms, basically wiped out for a few days, which will probably be the case for over 95% of the population. If you're vulnerable, don't go out until there's a vaccine.

Some people will have a natural genetic predisposition that makes them vulnerable to become very sick or even die. They'd likely be healthy otherwise. The exact opposite scenario will also be true for sure.

I think you should not look and numbers per say, look at percentages of 'healthy' people (poor soles by the way) that have died of the virus.

It is very small. You might look at the percentage of people with diabetes that have died. Also check out the average age as well.

I have been touched by the virus so I am not some hard hearted fellow, I am however hopefully logical.

I'm sure a lot of those that died didn't have an unhealthy life .Many health and care workers died 540 .Having a decent lifestyle doesn't always save you .I was annoyed with a mate if mine saying the strong survive .Thats rubbish .
