16/9/2020 00:09 | Agree EI they will try everything before closing pubs again certainly nationwide. I think this winter will be tough with every flu case being a possible coronavirus case but spoons are the strongest pub chain out there and if they fail then the whole industry is screwed. | ![]() tim 3
15/9/2020 15:34 | Short term investment case rests on whether pubs are forced to close again. HMG would be loath to do that, however schools been given priority over some businesses as has been made clear. | ![]() essentialinvestor
15/9/2020 09:16 | Successful Hit Job From Communist China Coronavirus wipes out 700,000 payroll jobs as unemployment rate spikes to 4.1% with 2.7million on benefits China.. Industrial output, which has recovered more quickly than retail, strengthened further last month. It grew 5.6% from a year ago, better than economists expected and more than the 4.8% increase in July. | ![]() johnwise
15/9/2020 09:15 | A business rates bill for £800m could be "the last straw" for many UK pubs, forcing thousands to close permanently with hundreds of thousands of jobs lost, the British Beer & Pub Association (BBPA) has warned. | ![]() johnwise
14/9/2020 22:34 | Konradpuss/Ignoble, Kid will try again this Friday, lunch we guess, will be busy. If finds the same, I will let you know the name of pub in question. Tim is already informed, but confirmation would be good. I hold shares | ![]() dudishes
14/9/2020 22:04 | Tim's Area Managers should be on the ball... Don't really want Spoons being known for being slack on covid protection. They have tried to lead the way in many cases Seems a few may not have been on top of it. End of the day, the people using Spoons have a responsibility, can't expect Spoons to reprimand everyone. Very easy to pull someone up for smoking in the Pub, not so easy to ask someone to samitise | ignoble
14/9/2020 20:05 | Well, my local 'Spoons' in South West London is very well 'policed'. You are asked to scan the App or fill in a form. If you refuse you do not get in. Perhaps 'Big Tim' could ask the government to provide some of their Covid Mashalls! I believe they come dressed in black uniforms! | ![]() konradpuss
14/9/2020 17:15 | Hard to see how...unless they have a very large garden. Couple near me are busy but outside. Most seem to adhere to the distancing. Once the weather breaks, guessing that trade will ease off. | ignoble
14/9/2020 17:12 | Are any of the UK pub groups trading profitability currently. | ![]() essentialinvestor
14/9/2020 11:36 | As I have mentioned before all pubs get tarred with the same brush .A lot wasnt adhering to the rules and now we have a situation in bolton where they are all closed .Also last week in Manchester me and a friend was refused in the pubs because we don't live together. This will come to your area soon imo its spreading far and wide now .That rules out huge numbers of people drinking together. Its unfair on wetherspoons ashton under lyne that take it very serious and imo is as safe as they can make it .Unfortunately the rochdale one was a bad experience. The menus was filthy and distancing not observed. Thats bad management. Tim needs to sort some of those issues out before blaming anyone else . | ![]() gozzie2
14/9/2020 09:16 | To me it seems wetherspoons and tim are in the crosshairs Wonder why | ![]() zztop
14/9/2020 08:47 | Revellers hit the bars after parks and beaches were packed on last day in the sun before new 'Rule of 6' coronavirus crackdown - as ministers consider shielding for 4.5m 'at risk' and 10pm pub curfew because 'young people forget the rules' | ![]() johnwise
14/9/2020 08:41 | Trade ‘very quiet’ on weekend before ‘rule of six’, says Wetherspoons boss Mr Martin told investors on Monday that he believes the safety of pubs during the pandemic has been “widely misunderstood” | ![]() johnwise
14/9/2020 08:36 | Sales down 22.5% this weekend compared to last year. Ouch! And that’s before the new max of 6 people. Not looking good for Tim, no wonder he’s venting, what a waste of an RNS. | ![]() raweden

12/9/2020 15:15 | Quite interesting the stat. of how many poor folk have died this week of the virus. I see the Swedish rate of infection has leveled out. Shame we left them in March after the Imperial report of a possible 500,00 deaths. | ![]() konradpuss
