There was (again) some decent numbers yesterday playing their contests – W&W get circa 10% of the total wagered – and it’s clearly a popular concept and one that they should be looking to promote / grow; Their social media platforms provide them with an inexpensive opportunity to promote this and other stuff, but they largely post the equivalent of junk mail. Hopefully, this is presently being remedied; they had a post retweeted yesterday!!

Agree mip. I’ve emailed them asking to share with holders what they are doing to increase customer numbers. They can’t just carry on as is, hoping for a favourable decision re California and a takeout thereafter. Appreciate that they are a niche operator and a small team with a small budget, but they need to be doing much more than they are at present. N America – regardless of California – is a massive opportunity and they need to be doing much more.

The owners of the company are the shareholders. If a company does not have the cash it needs to expand it can either issue additional shares - resulting in dilution to existing shareholders- or to seek loans which would further weaken its balance sheet. That is why WEB is seeking an outside partnership deal / merger - unfortunately it is pinning its hopes on a successful outcome to the California ballot, which is a highly uncertain outcome

Correction . Slight losses . Not profits slightly down

If the owners have faith in the company like share holders do they should be fixing it . It’s only because of covid that has hurt profits . Their own track closed etc . Profits slightly down was the only pain for the company . Everything else seems intact .
Lots of other companies have suffered EXACTLY the same ….

Correct me if I’m wrong . Webis has billionaire owners . Why the cash problem ?

The company desperately needs either a partner or a takeover. In their own words expansion to allow them to compete with rivals is beyond their cash flows. Perhaps once results are in as to which proposals make the California 2022 ballot there may be some more interest.

Ignore terminator . He has absolutely nothing positive to say about absolutely anything .
Just look at the history . What is he trying to achieve . For web is it’s been tough as for everyone over the past period . This will slowly regain . It’s assets are capable of very great things . Not saying they will be . Just certainly capable ….

I made a small fortune on AIM shares.
Of course, however, I did start off with a large fortune.

Disappointing? Those results are miserable mate. Turned a tiny profit into a loss. Terrible. Not worth £2 million market cap never mind nearly £11 million.

Count me in as well!
Obviously the results were a little disapointing but an honest report and the undisputed fact is it remains very much undervalued.
The BIG potential hasn't changed (if anything it's strengthened). It will only take the sniff of a prowling predator and we'll start to see the considerable (63p :-) ) value of our licenses recognised.

Interims out early, the bit I like

Observers will be aware that the USA continues to be the land of opportunity in our sector, particularly as other markets suffer from oversaturation and legislative problems, particularly in the UK and Europe. The level of expenditure from existing and new operators in the USA has hit unprecedented heights as they all fight for customer acquisition and dominant market share. This strategy is risky and, for us, above our available cash flows. We are, however, fully aware of our unique position, and we continue to be in discussions with potential partners in order for us to leverage the kind of scalability required to succeed in the core USA markets.

Having sought external advice from venture capital firms and indeed specialty gaming advisers, we continue to consider ourselves to be undervalued on our metrics and, indeed, our potential growth opportunity in the USA. We remain open to discussion with potential partners and will keep shareholders fully informed of developments in this matter.
