...you talk about share bounces etc

Do you realise that these shares will be delisted ?
There will be no share price.

Talking about bounces blah blah has little connection this share imo....& that there will soon be no quoted price for it.

Opportunity for quick traders for sure Terminator, but all we're playing for is a limited technical bounce. Sometimes it is a day or two at most before it fizzles out too.

Most of them do nothing. Sometimes I look at the rns news and the associated price of 0.0x price and you know nothing is going to happen, before it even opens! Or the market makers mark up the price, lure a few in, and then straight back down it goes as the big sellers come in.

I think out of those two hundred or so companies in dire Penny Punt Land, sat here wondering how many could actually go through the roof here. Maybe the odd few will surprise, but it is going to take something spectacular to change the trend and hold rallies for a big re-rating. It is going to have be MEGA news, transformational stuff, and then the volumes will go through the roof.

But that just isn't happening, but I'm sure most will be looking for those few.

All abit grim, but that's just the way it is.

Anywho, onward!

Interesting to read that Jim Mellon has joined the Webis board:

Ed Comins, Webis' Managing Director, commented:

"I am delighted to welcome Jim to the Board of Webis. His exceptional commercial experience will prove invaluable as we continue to implement our strategy, and we are sure he will make a very positive contribution to the Board."

Simon cawkwell on webis - 30th april 2024

Finally, Webis (WEB) this morning provide an upbeat declaration that they are ready to benefit in the coming weeks of the American turf season. WEB forebear to claim that profits are on the way. But if they are WEB is very cheap indeed at 1.5p to buy. Despite the fierce competition that WEB would face were it successful I still think the current capitalisation of the order of £5m is quite mad. This is worth a bet.

So 888 can't make money from B2C in the US and want to exit. No surprise Webis haven't made much money either.
What is the value in the licences? How can people say £75m? The share price and (lack of) profits says they are not worth that much.

Spotted this from 888 this morning, any significance to WEB

Not impressed with the numbers again but, probably like everyone else, it's the outlook that interests me:

The Board agree that we must focus on four key areas to achieve growth, and a return to profitability and advance our known licensed position in the USA for the benefit of shareholders. These four initiatives are as follows:

> To grow the B2C business platform in terms of player numbers and handle, and therefore improve margin for the business. We have proven that there is consistent growth in this sector and the next six months will be very important in this area.

> To continue to grow our land-based licenses at Cal Expo and potentially in other States. There are some very interesting developments in this area at time of writing, and we will update shareholders as soon as there is more tangible news.

> To utilise our key assets to provide third party services to existing or new entrants into the US market. Evidence suggests there is a good market for these services as stated above. These are the potential to share our US and international content rights, our licenses especially in California, our US based banking and payment methods, and our technology.

> Finally, and related to point three, we are very aware that strategic interest in USA regulated gaming, including horseracing, is very strong at present and will continue to be for several years. The larger operators, and also new entrants to the market, are looking for stable operations to either merge with or to acquire outright. This is exactly what WatchandWager offers, and the key Executive has been instructed by the Board to pursue these opportunities, if they are of benefit to shareholders. We will keep shareholders fully informed of any developments in this area.

...didn't you say that your chart analysis showed the share price hitting 8.0p at 16:30 today, due to the 'third wave' ?

...hasn't happened.

If you read any comments I've made on here, apart from the California question, they relate only to the volatility of the WEB share price. I do not hold, I have never held but it is one of the companies that operate in the U.S. gaming sphere in which I've held an interest for a number of years.Good luck to all
