Posted at 13/2/2023 11:55 by smithie6 Today a note from/by Simon Cawkwell"Ed Comins of Webis (WEB) came by last week. He was fairly tight-lipped about prospects. But he did not seem downcast to me. Now 2.5p." I guess that the chubby chap must have a fair chunk of WEB shares. |
Posted at 09/2/2023 14:17 by smithie6 WEBjump in the sh. price phps it might be linked to this existing info for the co. trying to get a license for a 2nd race facility, in Arizona (& phps there is progress on that in the USA) "....we fully expect to be licensed by the end of this year {2022}, or at worst early in 2023." |

Posted at 06/2/2023 10:37 by david gruen I have three obvious takeout targets. This (WEB), 7DIG, and OSI.Especially this one. A larger player could do very well here. Still expect it to 10-20 bag at some point. |
Posted at 29/6/2022 08:52 by mip55 The Native American option on the ballot would not benefit WEB and the company is actively lobbying against it.The alternative - Californians for Solutions to Homelessness and Mental Health Support - is backed by the seven big online sports betting operators but the actual legislation that flows from this option would have to be changed for it to immediately benefit WEB. The reason behind this is that under the proposed amendment online sports betting licenses would be available to qualified operators for $100 million. In order to get one of those licenses, sports betting operators will need to be licensed in 10 other states, or be licensed in five other states if they own or manage 12 Class III casinos.WEB's best hope of benefitting is a takeover |
Posted at 28/6/2022 21:58 by mcmather Not looked into it for a few months, but just not sure that either of the two options for the ballot so far actually favour (ie include) WEB? Hopefully, a RNS tomorrow will allay any concerns. |

Posted at 24/2/2022 12:47 by mip55 If the California ballot goes the way WEB hopes you will be eating your words Terminator. I am sure that there are a lot of private investors holding out for that very outcome. Far from there being mindless rampers attacking anyone here there is one poorly educated individual who is unable to explain exactly what his solution is to the situation that the company finds itself in |
Posted at 23/2/2022 11:14 by mip55 The owners of the company are the shareholders. If a company does not have the cash it needs to expand it can either issue additional shares - resulting in dilution to existing shareholders- or to seek loans which would further weaken its balance sheet. That is why WEB is seeking an outside partnership deal / merger - unfortunately it is pinning its hopes on a successful outcome to the California ballot, which is a highly uncertain outcome |
Posted at 11/1/2022 19:09 by mcmather 7 Jan 2022 – Nothing new but this gives a reasonable summary re the ‘measures&rsqu17 Aug 2021 – This details the proposal that WEB would seem to be most interested in. “According to the Secretary of State website, any initiatives for the November 2022 ballot must be qualified by June 30, 2022”. Hopefully, start to hear more shortly. |
