I think he was just a one-season wonder - from the reception he had from the Brom fans he didn't leave them with positive impressions either. It happens to some players, a couple of good years followed by losing the plot.

I guess he'll be on a good wage and no one will want to pay that for him. Jewell knew him when he was good which is why he took him on I suppose

You would think there might also be some motivation for the player to prove himself as well.

The old Derby boss was happy to take Elington back, indeed its worth keeping him if a transfer fee would be worth more than wages for a few months..

Seems odd that he won't even take a proper look at Ellington. Brendan has already admitted he was wrong about Rasiak. I'd rather Ellington had been sold outright but I don't see the harm in giving him pre-season as a make or break chance. It couldn't damage his value any further! Who knows, score a few goals and we might get a bit of money back for him.

I think a lot will depend on whether Brendan manages to keep Smith, Priskin and to an extent Rasiak, (and avoids having to resell Ellington to raise cash). A raid for a few premier league team youngsters on loan, and a couple more value signings would leave me feeling v. confident.
At Christmas my prediction is 6th, and we will progress to finish 4th

A 12th
B 10th

Mid table obscurity with a brief flirtation with the playoffs.

Lets hope that its not so close next season. Top half would be a realistic place to aim for. Would have been safe with 52pts but great to get the win.

Actually I feel sorry for L*t*n. Had they been relegated in a regular season it would be funny, but they have been shafted by the FA. Funny how WHU can get away with it but smaller clubs get shafted.

Still better them than us.

Been unlucky with decisions this year - a Phantom Goal, Penalty last week in 7th minute of Injury time that wasnt a penalty. Didnt see last nights penalty but seemed to be past normal injury time when it was awarded - anyone see it ?

Eustace looked like a class signing last year but has been awful this year - against Bristol City I'd have subbed himafter 20mins. Saying that I'd have subbed the lot of them in that game. Beat Forest tonight and we have one foot in midtable obscurity.

Think we have turned the corner. Certainly not out of trouble yet but we continue to score and the defence is somewhat better. 52pts should be enough.

Good point mr, would require a majority holding to do it. Probably quite cheap at this price but I think its housing price mentality - will be cheaper still in six months..
