Usual quiteness from the board....

Great loss king is - always smiling and plays clean football. Will be greatly missed.

See also that A Macmanee has gone, undisclosed ???

Im afraid that I cant see Watford getting promoted this season......

So The King looks set to depart - will it be a case of "the player wanted to go"? Pity really, I just wonder whether he would have stayed if we had managed to keep the supply line (Adam Johnson)for the whole season. How will the club explain £5m? Surely worth more. Further pressure now on Ellington to perform, and I suppose it is possible that Collins John could be a great replacement, but even if he is, will he be tempted to sign after the loan period?
These moves puts this season on a knife edge.

Hi SK - I know nothing about them although their recent RNS's show they need funds PDQ. I'd avoid them until that becomes clearer.

Dr B, would be interested in your views on EiRx if you have ever had a look at them.

Nor did I realise you were til I checked out this page just now. I'm more of a follower than a fan, going once a season or so, but have been going since 1985. Caught by the glory days and unable to shake the team off!

Why did we buy Ellington full stop. Let alone a partner for him.

Makes you wonder if his absence is connected with the awful results Watford have been achieving

Agree wholeheartedly Dr B - the managers record in the market is open to question. Heard a rumour we may try to link up Ellington again with his old strike partner by signing Jason Roberts - but do we need another striker? To me the problems lie in defence and midfield.
I missed the QPR debacle, but will be travelling to Southampton - we always play better away.

Saw both games - thought we were worse against Cardiff than we were against QPR. Once the confidence goes its difficult to get it back unless we get a few in during the transfer window.

I think ABs record in the market is pretty average - the loan players are better than the ones we sign permenantly.

They have lost their way ......

They have no defence, quite simply the person responsible is Boothroyd.

Qpr in the first half only got out of their half 4 times - 3 of those they scored.

They really do not as a team deserve to be in the top half of the table at the moment.

Blimey...Losing at home to QPR is not a good result at all.....

Hanging on in there to second spot & in need of some wins.

Be lucky to all & hope WFC can pull it out of the bag I like the team.

Quite like jobi - but he seemed a little bit clumsy early on against Stoke

Ah yes Johnson. He'd have been a better but than Jobi and the duke combined. Not sure what too make of those two - the former looks OK but can't shoot, the latter hasn't featured and didn't get a start when doris was dropped. Looking forward to seeing a couple of games over Xmas, its a bit of a trek for me these days.

Bangura - had he killed a three year old in a hit and run and not had a licence or just plain killed someone, he would be allowed to stay in this country. great Home Office.....

Watford need to watch the counter attack, teams seemed to have cottoned on that we are vulnerable to a counter

Shocker for Bangura - not sure what the rules are (who does?)and whether they have been broken, we will also probably never have a reasoned explanation for the decision.
AJ? Adam Johnson - now he has returned to Boro Downing has started to perform, maybe there is a chance he will return come the transfer window. If it were me, I would try to buy him - showed consistency over 11 games, 5 goals and a number of assists, and an outlet for the defence - now its back to banging it over the top and seemingly relying upon the opponents back four to have the turning ability of a wardrobe. Hey ho.
