No I think they'll hold their own. Its Sheff Utd who are in the wrong league with their team.

I will unfortunately have to miss that match as I'm away....but hopefully can rely on the faithfull voicing their best dissent to Ronaldo.....just need to take a leaf out of the French book when they played Portugal....from start to finish they never missed a chance to boo Ronaldo.....bliss!

wait until the new season starts they will go up then, its not the club its the issue and the zero regard for the interests of wfc holders that makes this one you should have avoided but promotion has saved you from certain loss
possible the new owner will try to buy them back but you don't get that rich being generous but he will give you a modest premium?

Market cap of 3.25M - yet they get 40M in the premier

Have they got warrants or something

first half of the season expect we can pick up points as we will be under estimated.

we need around 20 points going into the new year

I thinks its going to be a struggle but we are more than route 1. When we beat Cardiff/saints/SheffU/Palace we played a lot of good football and we are very quick on the break. I think next year a lot of teams will have to come to us and attack as they are expected to win and we could surprise a few.

lol

Don't get me wrong, i took great satisfaction yesterday seeing Leeds Utd get well and truly shafted and full marks for that. Yesterdays game did not for one minute exude anywhere near the quality needed to remain afloat in the premiership and like all teams reaching promotion, great expense will be needed this summer to sign 5 or 6 quality players to have a gnat's chance of remaining in the top flight.

As a Pompey supporter, i speak from experience. The quality of play between the premiership and champions division is frightening. Also add in the bias referees show towards the top 6 and the disdain they show against the newbies. It really is an uphill battle all the way.

You 'orns!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Vanhalen, if you want proof that we can play good football to, try to get some footage of our game away to Sheffield United.

I think our Pompey fan is getting worried, or could it be some bitterness over the 3-0 hiding we gave them in the league cup???

Chesty you are correct...."in the current market"......probably would have gone a lot higher a few weeks ago!Vanhalen.....I think that you are spot on regarding football played at altitude.....however remember we were "dead certs"for demotion at the start of this season.....how wrong was that prediction!....it is true that Aidy will need to think VERY carefully on where the team requires strength from new signings and how much they can realistically spend on doing that....my initial call would be to "beef up" the defence.....we may well need a new goaly as well!......so we start another season as "dead certs" to go straight back down....if I was a betting man I wouldn't be too sure that, that will be correct......certainly won't finish in the top but Aidy is a clever guy.....we WILL finish above the relegation zone is my bet......looking forward to a great season in the PREMIERSHIP!

Come on you Orns!!!!!! Alexacj, you're not the only one without a voice :o))

Just back from a brill weekend in South Wales.....what a match (great atmosphere with the roof closed too). Leeds were rubbish so the yellows didn't have to be much better and did the necessary job.

Can't believe some have to carp at a time like this - they should simply be thrilled that a relatively small club which were bankrupted by Vialli (spit) and on the brink of administration just 2-3 years ago is about to bank £40m.

Boothroyd is a genius. Let's hope he unearths some more gems similar to Marlon and Henderson for the defence and midfield.

Well done Chesty. If Watford do a West Ham who knows where the share price will go!

Well I was expecting this to rise much higher than this today...But I suppose a rise is a rise in this current market at the mo...

33% I suppose I shouldn't get too greedy....
