I am not convinced that the small holders in WFC are going to receive 10p each, I suspect that the ownership could change hands defacto and the listing could be dropped by the new controlling holders, leading to a race to the bottom of this share price prior to delisting......any thoughts?

He has announced that the loan from his salad company is a mortgage on the full value of Vicarage Road and unless anyone else offers to lend the plc WFC money by Christmas, he will suspend and wind up the listing, essentially giving the club 100% to him. Sell.

The change of nominated advisor and broker on 15th Oct. is because WFC is being delisted soon.
The end of trading in the shares will permit the owners to put more of their own money into the club, and we may go up this year.

Just let WFC go the way of SOO so the owners can invest without lining WFC holders

Why don't they just delist WFC like Sheff Utd did with SUT and then, once in full ownership and thw WFC shareholders bought out, they would invest in the club. The plc is just a drag, of course they don't want to invest for the benefit of WFC holders

Many thanks spob. You have helped me make my Wachovia thread properly functional. May as well have a ringside view of the unfolding disaster.

I'm a buyer of WFC, maybe as early as next week but certainly not today with the long weekend coming up.

As usual I have to get you guys from talking about the games and thinking about your investment in WFC
I suspect the bid is from the clubs biggest financial backer who wants total control and does not want to invest any more money for the benefit of the holders of WFC PLC, so he wants your shares
If Watford get promoted he is not going to want to pay the silly price which will emerge on the morning afterl.
He would probably prefer to lose in the playoffs as this would push the share price lower than it would go by failing to reach them
He wants to pay 20p a share. News of his approach pushed the price too high.
If they reach the playoff final sell then and bet with the bookies on them winning to console you if they win and the big price hike
In any event consider selling immediately after promotion, on the next working day, or now
He will also have an eye on delisting as a way to cut you out

Blimey...Losing at home to QPR is not a good result at all.....

Hanging on in there to second spot & in need of some wins.

Be lucky to all & hope WFC can pull it out of the bag I like the team.

What an evening !!

Looks like there are some bargain prices coming up.

USB now has a yield of over 5.4% and you can pick it up cheaper then what Buffett bought it for. Only 2.8% of it's portfolio is exposed to subprime so not bad.

WFC traditionally trades on a higher multiple because of its superior ratios and efficiencies. Starting to look like a real bargain here too imo.

wait until the new season starts they will go up then, its not the club its the issue and the zero regard for the interests of wfc holders that makes this one you should have avoided but promotion has saved you from certain loss
possible the new owner will try to buy them back but you don't get that rich being generous but he will give you a modest premium?
