fft - it was L & G selling all their holding. The link:

What was the story behind today's RNS at 11am ? It says it has been notified of a change in substantial holding, but doesn't say what change or who !There was an RNS yesterday from RG, so shouldn't be the same thing.

So L&G are the ones who pushed for a bid, now dumped even before they get their 8p offer. I want to see that special place in hell reserved for the directors. If it wasn't for this we could be much higher right now...

L&G have dumped their 5% stake probably need the cash for opportunities elsewhere.
May be do same if we have to wait for the cash much longer.

Richard Griffiths can see a 25-30% return over two months (8p vs 6.5p).

And is happy to take it. He must have reassurance from somewhere. Hopefully the gap will close on 8p as we get closed to Completion. Fingers crossed anyway......

Either the Botswana court case has collapse or the IR has leaked out.

Key is outlook which is clearly very positive. Nice div to be paid, and further recovery expected. No real student occupancy hit to talk of and still a long way back to go to reclaim its past high of c.285p. Should move nicely through 200p now.

It's under news 3rd Dec, scheme of arrangement update. Near the bottom it says timetable with the dates.

Thanks for the information - radio silence from what I can see - may I ask how you got those details?
The company isn't replying to my questions about the IR and progress of the transactions - somehow not surprised/understandable.
I dont know why they would sell either now when there is quite a bit left on the table, makes me a little uneasy. (unless they selling to a related entity - quite possible).

10th Feb is the ier. Independent report. Hopefully it said 10p not 8p.

Why on earth would they off load so near to the deal day. I can only assume they are in dire straits and need the money now.

Someone seems like they've given up - 130+ Million shares going through around the bid probably points to the takeover being a done deal. It will be interesting to see who offloaded and who bought.

I hope that means Lombard Odier have had some reassurance that this blasted deal is going to go ahead. If you believe that, buying at 6.5p for over 20% return in two months is a no brainier.

If you believe.........

Lombard Odier has slightly increased their position, picking up from those bored sellers.

All this waiting is painful, I should stop checking the share price and the forums.....

Decent gains for those entering at just over 6p (assuming it completes - can't see why it won't).

Not really. Facility extended to end of March by which time the offer should have gone through, assuming the legal issues can be resolved.

"Mastercard loses landmark £14bn Supreme Court class action case and ALL consumers could benefit"

This might increase their 'eagerness' to acquire the whole of homesend.
