05/10/2020 11:01 | The share price has been moving down over the last few days, presumably because there is an increasing (though IMO slim) possibility of the offer being turned down. At the moment the real price is 7.36 - 7.55. Last week it was up to 7.55 - 7.70 The yield buying at 7.55 for a few months is really very good. An annualized ROI of over 20% (assuming it is 3 months before pay out). | fft
05/10/2020 09:35 | Independent report being submitted to the companies on Friday. If the price starts to move up that day , then you know the valuation is higher than 8p. | johnv
04/10/2020 20:01 | Given the bid has the backing of the board and largest shareholder it’s highly unlikely to fail. | dr biotech
04/10/2020 16:58 | If investors vote against won’t MasterCard need to offer more? Maybe another penny or so would do. Or is the risk that they would just walk away? So much for SCSW bid at M-E-G-A premium! But at least they were right about it being likely. | kenmitch
04/10/2020 16:49 | Unfortunately Mastercard is the only game in town at the moment so it is highly likely that the 8p deal will go through unless a credible White Knight suddenly appears and makes a higher offer. Would be happy to see that happen but I'm not holding my breath ! | masurenguy
04/10/2020 16:45 | Depends what the report comes up with, but my gut feel is it will be 8p - so I will be voting against. | largeronald
04/10/2020 06:34 | SCSW suggests voting against offer. | unabkxb
02/10/2020 10:46 | My 2 biggest holdings both got takeovers, WJA and WMH. | johnv
02/10/2020 10:44 | I'm hanging on there, on the off chance that the independent review comes in higher than 8p. 10 or 12p would be nice. | johnv
02/10/2020 10:41 | It says the booklet containing the same won't be sent to target shareholders until the 22nd. | largeronald
02/10/2020 10:27 | I wish it was 8th october so if we go up a few pence or stay at 8p I can sell out and move into new stuff | tomv33

29/9/2020 15:36 | Independent expert submits findings by Oct 8th. | serratia
29/9/2020 15:00 | It looks like we're not going to get sight of the independent expert's report (which will no doubt conclude that the offer of 8p per share far exceeds the value of the company and that all the shareholders voting against it need prompt psychiatric attention) until 22nd October. I'd better book my shrink now. | largeronald

23/9/2020 19:24 | Sometime in October I think. | northstar88
17/9/2020 15:07 | When is the independent report due to be published? | tomv33
17/9/2020 12:49 | If I had money available I would buy this at anything up to 8p. In the worst case scenario, come December, you would get 8p per share. However, potentially the independent report may give a valuation above 8p in which case MC would have to pay that. Assuming the independent report is truly independent then I would find it surprising that someone would come up with the exact same figure as MC on the value of the company based on Homesends's current revenues, its future revenues and the value of similar companies in the same space. Even a value at 8.1p is a gain on the current bid, albeit small, but what about if the valuation is 10p per share or 12p per share! | daveme
14/9/2020 16:20 | A scheme of arrangement here is nothing to do with insolvency, absolutely nothing. It is what it says on the tin, a scheme to arrange the takeover: ie the bidding company, structure of the deal, legal parties involved. All of things may be present in an insolvency, but the mere fact there is a scheme of arrangement does NOT give any clues about insolvency | graham1ty
