14/11/2013 07:22 | They may have been due in December (?), but they arrived today. A decent set of numbers imho, an uplift in the divi, and a reasonably bullish tone. | dashton42
13/11/2013 11:10 | Yes Puku. Half yearly report due on the 12th December. I think a flavour of whats to come can be read in todays half rear results for Liontrust (LIO). | the weatherman
12/11/2013 15:15 | Interim was 12 Nov last year - anybody news on this ? | puku
29/10/2013 07:58 | Interims next week. | the weatherman
28/10/2013 17:39 | Yesterday's "free share tip". | toby tots
28/10/2013 09:46 | 100% buys. | the weatherman
28/10/2013 08:38 | I think wcw are undervalued. When the law changed last year governing Independent Financial Advisors many of them jumped ship bringing client money with them. Liontrust are also very interesting. Big roll out of bonds into shares. | the weatherman
28/10/2013 08:17 | Hmmm mitchy, WCW said in their finals "As a result of the strategic initiatives and changes implemented during the year, we have seen a consistent run rate of profitability in the months immediately before and since the year end." They didn't confirm that in the more recent IMS so who knows, maybe small profits currently or small losses. What's clear though is that at current market cap WCW is being valued at barely anything above the net cash on the balance sheet. That doesn't look right to me! | eezymunny
27/10/2013 10:03 | Was using this broker back in the 90's but have moved on since to Iweb who I'm very happy with. WCW are running at a loss. The one off divi makes it look artificially good ..not interested. I don't buy into loss making firms any more. Thanks for the heads up ADVFN but no thanks. | mitchy
26/10/2013 13:00 | Have many ppl come on here thinking that this is walkers crisps? | wylecoyote
16/9/2013 16:51 | ...and again. | the weatherman
14/9/2013 12:11 | What is the Oryx International thingy all about? | the weatherman
10/9/2013 09:55 | Its flying. | hvs
09/9/2013 09:49 | Yes by my analysis at 38p this morning they have more cash than market cap. Looks wrong to me but future trading will decide. Certainly possible we'll see a very significant special divi.... More at | eezymunny
09/9/2013 08:27 | Thats added more to the DOSH. | hvs
29/8/2013 12:00 | Very cheap share. Will Liontrust have a go? | the weatherman
24/8/2013 18:42 | An overlooked share ? Final Results showed Net assets of £19.5 m inc cash of £7.8m against current market value of £12.4. trading update shows revenue 36 % up in first qtr and profitable. Bought in at 34p and happy to wait for Interim. | puku
24/7/2013 10:34 | My patience has paid off, nice move up today. | twiggy2
16/1/2013 10:16 | Wow. Money flooding out of bonds and into shares/funds. | the weatherman
08/11/2012 12:39 | Interesting article in todays Times re Rathbone taking over Taylor Young with enough money left over to go for others. Other wealth managers such as Brewin Dolphin,Smith and Williamson and Investec all seen as being on the aquisition trail. Lots of consoldation going on. | the weatherman
23/10/2012 21:53 | The capital loss will not offset the income - as that portion is taxable. | randolph and mortimer
13/7/2012 21:30 | ...and presumably they trade ex from Wednesday, not Friday, when they'll drop about 4.5p. Fine if you're after 11% income and don't mind taking an 11% capital loss. | typo56 |
