Share Split

Further to the authority received at the AGM, with effect from 23 July 2007,
each of the Company's existing ordinary shares of 20p each ("Existing Ordinary
Shares")will be sub-divided into three new ordinary shares of 6 2/3p each ("New
Ordinary Shares"). The record date for the Share Split is the close of business
today, 20 July 2007.

Application has been made for the New Ordinary Shares to be admitted to the
Official list of the UKLA and to trading on the London Stock Exchange. It is
expected that such admissions will become effective and that dealings in the New
Ordinary Shares will commence at 8.00 am on 23 July 2007. Following such
admissions the total number of New Ordinary Shares in issue will be 35,363,898,
of which 450,000 will be held by the Company in treasury.

Where applicable, CREST accounts are expected to be credited with New Ordinary
Shares on 23 July 2007 and replacement share certificates are expected to be
posted to shareholders by 27 July 2007.

The New Ordinary Shares will, in all respects, rank pari passu with and, except
for the difference in nominal value, be subject to the same rights and
restrictions as the Existing Ordinary Shares and, in particular, the holders of
New Ordinary Shares will have the same voting rights, the same rights to
participate in dividends or income of the Company and the same rights on a
liquidation of the Company as holders of Existing Ordinary Shares.

The Company will make appropriate adjustments to awards held by participants in
the Company's share option schemes.

It is emphasised that the entitlement of shareholders to the final dividend for
the year ended 31 March 2007 will be unaffected by the Share Split. This final
dividend was declared on 7 June 2007 by reference to the Existing Ordinary
Shares. Following the Share Split, all future dividends will be declared by
reference to the New Ordinary Shares.

Does anyone know the reason for the recent large drops?

Adda - there is a second address - which is the same as the first but sometimes one or other doesn't work, you need to scroll down through his life story/assorted stuff to the 'markets' section.

Not only is he clued up like Kismet says, he also appears to have a fair dose of the 'luck of the Irish'. Perhaps it could be a case of 'the harder I work the luckier I get' as the saying goes.

Director bought 10,000 - he must have read Robbie Burns's website !

This is what he posted yesterday - I hope he doesn't mind me nicking it

"One new buy to report this morning - that's 2,000 shares in Walker Crips Weddle - (WCW) at 301.5p. Target 390 stop 275. This looks like a real goodie to me - it's been way oversold and it looks like a fantastic price to get back in.

Excellent strong and bullish statements from the company which raised FY profits to over £3m from £2.3m. The company is now undervalued on just this basis. Now I reckon next full year could show £4-4.5m and the interims could prove very strong.

With hardly any downside and tons of upside looks a bargain buy at these levels to me and I think the share will soon attract buyers pushing it back up to near 400p"

Not sure if this firm is past its best, cheap run down offices, old fashioned non internet service, in the City but not swish. Too many providers now, may ditch execution only soon IMHO. 118p in 2000. 6 years on I would say 250p is tops not 298 or 344

Bailey added today but it's a drop in the ocean compared to recent buys.

NTV - I wouldn't short this with that spread and the fact that there looks like there might be a bidder lerking - are they taking advantage of the dip today?
