Invesco has added again, now up to 13.2%.

So what are you suggesting re Mohawk, wingspan? A takeover of VCP by them as they are described as the world's largest flooring company so presumably the bigger fish? I see John Lewis stocks their carpets, as well as those of VCP..

Invesco added another 1.25% on Jan 19 (don't know what price) but the share price still continues down.

Re Carpertright results and what they mean for VCP I do not see a concerning read accross. VCP is a manufacturer / distibutor like Headlam (at least for the UK business) and Headlam has just announced it had very strong sales in the UK over the same period that Carpetright's profit warning. Also, Carpetright is suffering for company specific reasons as opposed to macro industry reasons. For example, they are being out competed by Tapi (their rival set up by their founder's son) and are suffering from a portfolio of bad store locations and tired stores. So, I do not think we should be concerned about VCP on the basis of Carpetright.

Apart from the market cap, the numbers are all wrong. You have forgotten VCP made two very large acquisitions late last year that, according to the analysts have increased ebitda to over £100 million!

Do those figures relate to Carpetright or VCP? Is today's drop in sympathy with that of Carpetright? I shouldn't have thought the two were comparable. Is there any other reason for it, do you know? Am getting nervous.

£1Billion mcap.
£100M debt.
Half year PBT £8.8M
HSBC holding director shares. (never a good idea)

Any reason why this isn't going to follow carpetright sometime soon?
