30/11/2017 08:16 | £8...? | umitw
29/11/2017 07:27 | Mine used to be in an ISA but had to remove when they went on AIM and I wasn't able to put them back when AIM shares became permitted. Hope they don't come off AIM or get taken over before I pop my clogs. I don't have a SIPP. It will be interesting to see what happens today. | bouleversee
29/11/2017 07:03 | There is that but spread about you reduce the risk. Always nice to pay some CGT and even better in an ISA.(or SS pension) Tiger | castleford tiger
28/11/2017 19:40 | Tiger - Depends what you do with the money after you've paid your cgt. I should have added the words "by my standards" when I said I had quite a large no. of shares. Peanuts compared with your holding. Am not selling any of mine for cgt and IHT reasons and because I dare say I would then lose the money on something else. | bouleversee
28/11/2017 18:41 | I think taking SOME off the table is always good advice. Just think if I had held my 125,000 old shares bought around 1999. that's 625,000 new shares at 8.00 about 5 million plus the 375 k special dividend. Tiger | castleford tiger
28/11/2017 18:11 | FWIW RNS says Old Mutual increased its holding from 6.09% to 11.24% on Nov. 23. Perhaps they'll buy more tomorrow and push the price up again. | bouleversee
28/11/2017 16:14 | Thanks. Not being a trader or chartist, just a long term investor, all a bit over my head. I was surprised it came down so far today and hope it will go up again as, having bought many years ago, I have quite a large number of shares and am several thousand pounds down in the last few days. However, realistically such a meteoric rise was unlikely to be sustained without the odd setback or bit of profit taking. I can't complain. | bouleversee
28/11/2017 15:06 | Bouleversee, share price was gapped up from approximately around 785p if you look at the chart on 3 months or so.So it is almost there to close the gap , then can go up again. I put a buy order @ 786p. | umitw
28/11/2017 14:21 | umitw - Could you please explain what this means. | bouleversee
28/11/2017 13:40 | Victoria PLC was tipped by Midas in the Mail on Sunday this week for the third time, and again in yesterday's Growth Company Investor | wendydc
28/11/2017 11:34 | The gap on the chart is closed ! | umitw
28/11/2017 11:19 | Interims out this morning. Cantor Fitzgerald summarises as “solid H1 performance leaves Victoria on track. BUY” | 1boston
27/11/2017 18:46 | Yes, out tomorrow - Tuesday 28th November | vswatkins
27/11/2017 17:10 | Interims in next few days? | wingspan
20/11/2017 15:43 | Camden Trust | wingspan
20/11/2017 12:36 | I see BGF and Canaccord have reduced their holdings a bit. Profit taking, presumably. It hasn't stopped the price rising, anyway. Anyone know the name of Wilding's holding company? | bouleversee
20/11/2017 11:36 | Berenberg updated note this morning: 950P price target | wingspan
17/11/2017 07:57 | Time will tell...personally, looking to the results next year to sum it up and steer my thinking. | wingspan
16/11/2017 21:30 | As Paul Scott said today. Amazing story. Almost seems too good to be true. Why hasn't anyone else done what he has? I'm sceptical now. Just seems to have done too much too soon for my liking. Call me cautious. I still think his original deal to get a shedload of shares was a tad greedy. Time will tell as to whether this will really stay good or be a pack of cards. Watching with interest, but won't be buying. | topvest
16/11/2017 09:21 | How far the share price is going to go up?I have been watching this since 350p..! | umitw
16/11/2017 08:13 | Yes topvest, to do an acquisition of this scale needed new cash & it looks like a great "earnings accretive" acquisition this morning at a PE of C:9x. A Placing done at just 1% below close share price Improves the Balance sheet & gives scope for further acquisitions in the future. Well done Geoff Wilding! Topped up at the bell 824p. | martinthebrave
16/11/2017 07:51 | Topvest...you nailed it...acquisition through placing...£180 mln | wingspan
09/11/2017 16:18 | Perhaps because GW does not view the share price as high enough on a fundamental basis... | wingspan |
