22/7/2019 07:01 | So let’s get this straight: 1. Announcement last Monday saying revenues up and margins up by “more than” 100bps. So that’s the organic story sorted. 2. Bond issue 3x over subscribed 3. £80 million cash on the balance sheet I agree Topvest. Growth strategy is back on!!! | cmw1
20/7/2019 20:16 | Wouldn't have minded a bit of that myself. Were we given the chance? Mine are on a platform now (iWeb) and I didn't hear anything from them about it. | bouleversee
20/7/2019 17:40 | News out late Friday. 5 year loan note for Euro 330m at 5.25% was 3x over subscribed. £80m cash available to fund an acquisition presumably. Looks like good news. Growth strategy back on. | topvest
17/7/2019 07:53 | Positive view from Moodys: hxxp://www.morningst | 1boston
16/7/2019 08:26 | Loved the sentence in the announcement that revenues continue to have like for like growth and, crucially, margins are up “by more than 100bps”. Coming on top of the 160bps margin increase last year, what a great start to the year! | cmw1
15/7/2019 17:13 | Results were bound to be heavily adjusted given the accounting for the various acquisitions and refinancing. I think the jury is still out. Looks the refinance is now firmly back on the agenda given the results have been published. The focus needs to be on the free cash flow. | topvest
15/7/2019 16:03 | I have read the article and also SWCA’s comment at the bottom. It is important to understand a company’s exceptional costs because, if they are real (and I agree with SWCA that Victoria’s are), the share price increase after the next set of results can be huge. | cmw1
11/7/2019 20:06 | Wonder if he is going to Lord's for the cricket.I'll stake my entire holding that it could be an unusual bad day for him ;-) | rotrader
11/7/2019 18:37 | Quite impressive comments from the Directors. I can only post about the UK part of the PLC. Good to hear that Abingdon carpets look to have sorted out their quality problems (albeit by a value range). No news on the other UK carpet manufactures in the group, which is quite concerning, knowing that other Company’s in the UK are supplying big retailers like John Lewis and Greenways with high end quality carpet. Perhaps Victoria are missing a trick. Interesting comments about the tax implications for a divi , ISA and SIPP helps some of us out. Anyway Mr Wilding must like the look of it, he is still here. | rotrader
11/7/2019 08:57 | Good outlook indicated in today’s results but even more encouraging is “insiders̶ | cmw1
11/7/2019 07:58 | Results out. Looks OK, from a quick scan, particularly on outlook. A very well written Chairman's Statement as ever. Will read more thoroughly in due course. | topvest
21/6/2019 20:01 | Looking good - perhaps the next RNS (Prelims) are already talked about by the chosen few.We will wait and see. | rotrader
14/6/2019 13:52 | Could be wrong but we have had the same situation in the past with the share price dropping before results. Then a significant rise just before and at the time of the results. Here's hoping for good news and the possibility of an acquisition or two , which is normally announced after the results. All in my own opinion of course but I have a good idea how the PLC works, from a few years experience, good and bad ;-) | rotrader
12/6/2019 17:18 | I've used iweb for about 4-5 years now for shares dealing account and a shares ISA. £25 to join, no annual fees, £5 per trade, what's not to like! I've had no problems at all with them. They did change the joining fee up to £200 at one point, but it's back to just £25 again now. They get my vote! | sharemonkeymagic
12/6/2019 17:06 | I hope Philippe’s confidence is correct. This was from the last trading update - Group Chief Executive, Philippe Hamers commented, "Over the last five years Victoria has steadily built what I believe to be one of the finest management teams in the industry and the value of this is demonstrated by the speed of execution and successful delivery of our productivity and margin improvement plan. Shareholders can be confident margins are steadily improving alongside continued market share growth." Stevejamessmith , correct by the looks of it, VCP investor web site is a bit vague - Date of Preliminary Results The Board of Victoria expect to announce the Group's preliminary results for the year ended 30 March 2019 in July 2019. | rotrader
12/6/2019 13:56 | Wonder if some bad news as been heard in front of the results. But saying that, we have been here before. | rotrader
12/6/2019 07:51 | Date of Preliminary ResultsThe Board of Victoria expect to announce the Group's preliminary results for the year ended 30 March 2019 in July 2019. | stevejamessmith
11/6/2019 19:55 | Really. Thought they had done that already. Results in July. | topvest
11/6/2019 15:28 | Trading statement due soon I believe. | liam1om
11/6/2019 12:19 | Market up today but vcp continues down. Why do you suppose this is? | bouleversee
01/6/2019 21:56 | You're not wrong there ? | nickycraigflooring
01/6/2019 08:52 | Could do with some good news here to stop the rot | rotrader |
