Like I've stated before I believe the end game will be a buy out to get rid of all us smaller shareholders. But then again what do know

Just sell a few now and then, if the price keeps rising you won't see any difference in what your holdings are worth or like me go for the gready option and wait for the end game ;-)

If they have so much cash sloshing around, why don't they pay a modest dividend? Do they think their pensioner shareholders live on fresh air?

I don't think the market has properly understood just how significant this acquisition is for VCP

Well I thought this could only go up.Bit of market manipulation before the results maybe. I'm not to worried, I'd be buying if I had the spare cash and hadn't filled up my ISA.Maybe time to move the other part of my private works pension into a SIPP

Good trading update this morning. Chief Executive, Philippe Hamers, said"In my 30 years in the industry, I have never known it to be busier at this time of the year."

Big correction today after recent gains. Can't see a problem really with everyone doing their houses up and the Covid problem easing- hopefully.

Don't get me wrong they do still make woollen Carpets albeit in less quantities and some of it is excellent quality. Other Kidderminster woollen carpet manufacturers are Adams Carpets and Brockway Carpets. British Wool is the way to go.

Thanks for that info, rotrader. I won't be buying any carpets from Victoria, then, which I had done in the past. I wonder if they still supply to royalty. Who does make woollen carpets now, do you know?

It's a good point you have made but also the majority of carpet is made from synthetic materials these days and yet farmers can't get a decent price for sheep wool ,which in my opinion is the best, sustainable and recyclable. Rupert Anton part of the founder family of Victoria ,promoted woollen Carpets but after the takeover the majority of carpet was synthetic and when they stopped manufacturing at Kidderminster the eco friendly backing plant was no more and production went to Abingdon Carpets in Wales - you couldn't make it up really- Wales - Sheep - Wool ;-)

A fairly meaty acquisition. A shame it's artificial grass though. It's such a destructive thing, as people replace gardens with expanses of plastic waste, killing plants, bees, invertebrates, birds, hedgehogs etc.

The rest of the RNS yesterday goes on to say "International demand for the ceramic tiles produced by our Italian business continues to grow at a remarkable rate due to the successful blend of quality, style, and value. The use of a high proportion of recycled raw materials in the tiles has proven attractive to consumers. However, maintaining service levels for our customers has, in recent months, required the business to outsource production to third parties to meet the ever-increasing demand. This is expensive in terms of margin forgone - and is addressed by this acquisition.

This is the first - and smallest - of several acquisitions we expect to conclude over the weeks and months ahead. Nevertheless, we are delighted to have acquired these businesses, which are immediately earnings accretive, but will also enable our Italian business to continue its growth and create value for shareholders."

So maybe in the next few weeks or months we will hear of another and bigger acquisition. Sit tight

The first of probably bigger acquisitions, perhaps the market is waiting to hear about these, then again positive news all ways takes a while to filter through with this share.

Very positive RNS with good synergies to further boost accretive acquisitions. Why no price movement?

Victoria PLC('Victoria', the 'Company', or the 'Group')Acquisitions of Ceramica Colli, Vallelunga and Ceramiche Santa MariaThese acquisitions follow Victoria's recent announcement of the very strong growth that has been achieved by the Group's Italian business. Total consideration (on a debt-free, cash-free basis) is c. EUR35 million and will be funded from the Company's existing resources. The acquisitions are expected to add not less than EUR10 million per annum of EBITDA in the next 12 months. Once full integration is completed, which is planned by the end of the financial year, the earnings contribution is expected to increase further. This increase will largely come from the insourcing of tile production that is currently outsourced due to lack of capacity, plus capitalising on the new brands to drive revenue growth.

Bouleversee, Victoria doesn't pay a dividend because it doesn't have the cash.

I expect they still draw massive salaries for themselves, however.

I've never heard of CEY but will look them up, thanks.
