fair enough, Spec, each to their own and all that. I use sites like MW for ideas then try to do my own research, Techinvest is another publication I really like, they have a great track record over the years.

I dont read his stuff TP so i wouldn't know. I dont pay tipsters for advice when they have absolutely no obligation in return to their customers. bit like paying someone for next weeks winning lottery numbers !! cant be done :-)
I find it mind boggling that someone like winniethrith can build up a following of gullible losers, give them tips, get it totally wrong , then walk away with their subscriptions... And ADVFN endorse it !!!
As for "reading between the line" the danger there is people tend to see what they want to see. The tipster claims success if they get it right and the blame the punter for "reading between the lines" if they get it wrong.
I know all this sounds a bit cynical but the problem arises when "reading between the lines" morphs into fact by the time it reaches the boards as so often happens.

MW always declares his position, also if you read his pieces, he doesn't release price sensitive info and is very careful in what he says. Sometimes you need to read between the lines as well.

Bottom line is the management and those in touch, the FD's and brokers, nomads, MM's and institutions will all know what is going on before the PI, banks, tipsters, journo's and friends of friends....thats why its dam near imposable to make money in this game just by research.

Leaking price sensitive info to tipsters is ok till the tipsters happen to hold and acts on it, then its criminal. Even Winniethroth is careful to state his position before he pukes out another load of tosh :-)

Seem to remember Robert Peston won journalist of the year for breaking the news first that Northern Rock needed emergency funding.....thats what journalists do!

Ewads, yes I am annoyed that I went back in after originally doubling my money during the Original Investments/ Bioprojects days. I'm still amazed that they never found a way to make any money from some impressive technology.

I called up their brokers who confirmed suspension would be lifted soon. I didn't push my luck but they agreed that it would be within 2 weeks so I am a bit more relaxed now although who knows if they will open up or down.
