No worries...
As has been suggested to me, I think the legacy of agreements and commitments entered into are in SG's favour and if there's one thing I know (re tie-in etc) he will exploit whatever options (ha ha) he can.

Agree, he is now a bit player in moving us forward having failed. imv last failure left standing until and unless he proves otherwise.

Nothing i said was aimed particular at you in fact i think my position on all this has been probably more negative than most but i do think even Sandeep is a token member of the board now there simply because of the tie in with VEC but nothing to do with any real future of VIY.

Spec7,

I think some feel I am miserable about the past. Sure, I am not best pleased, especially as I called the old BOD out at times to demonstrate what could happen and how they operated.
However, my aim here is more proactive and forward looking. I want the past recognised with an eye on the future. I don't expect to see SG cream more out of Vialogy or be given a hero's welcome in future. My aim is to get that suitably recognised as he is still on our BOD as well as VEC and who knows what twists and turns and short notice RNS he has up his sleeve. My aim is to get reality to register on the ground wrt Sandeep. I don't yet think it has.

looks like things are moving on behind the scenes....and I don't mean VEC, although I wouldn't entirely rule out that possibility.

some say its due to an RNS being logged...some say its BS... what I have seen is most of the time 1 buy trade has resulted in an RNS...heres being hopefull! GL

Someone might explain the significance of a single(1) share trade? Market tricks of some kind?

Perhaps SG is the brains behind QRI/D and its development research which consumed so much of our dosh, but sadly top technicians can be poor at sales, and in the world where dog eats dog and everyone is demanding everything for free, maybe we need a top dog that has the b.... to pull in the deals. However, SG, if he's the technician I think he might be (wouldn't it be awful to find out that we've paid him top dollars, and a sixth former coming out of school is now as technically minded), would make sure we still need him to explain the full range of what we have, can actually do - whether its for oil gas or gold or other searches/researchs. How long do our patents last and who can add value to them - SG or another?

The way i see it you can either be miserable about the past or move on.
We all effectively lost our money on this but by a shear luck we still have a holding in something. I am often accused of being a glass half empty person here but i see this as a glass finished and smashed.... but some stranger just bought me another half :). Ever single penny you can cash in on this is free money now. We played , lost, it should have been game over but by good fortune we have a free AIM lottery ticket here. Forget QRD, Bond, Dean and the past, this is a different company and we have a free stake in it. Lets wait and see .

sadly the old BOD couldn't commercialise QRI in any of the various applications.

Whether that was because there just wasn't the compelling case and/or an economic model to justify it OR because of inadequacies within the BOD, we will never sufficiently know, but I am willing to believe it was a mixture of the all of the above and they all have their fate cast by the old BOD anyway. Together with hiding some elements and exaggerating others by word or by omission/ambiguity, inducing at various times the feeling we were further ahead and closer to news than far far too frequently (to be just bad luck) proved to be the case.

We are best placed now with AR and reading between the lines I think he has a similar view to me of what went before, as I was then stating, though AR's focus is inadequacies in the commercial arena.
Infact I get the feeling he would be quite scathing in a private speak-his-mind session AND that's reflected variously including the often quoted comment that he is working hard to return value to shareholders so they can start to recover from their historic losses in this POS - I may have added those last 3 words ;-)

The remaining BOD member, SG, appears to me to be the last failure left standing.
He's probably after yet more Vialogy options before riding off on the back of AR's coat-tails! C'mon, after over a decade of being baited and switched and often kept in the dark, who is still singing SG's praises - finally expecting to fund VEC and looking like this will be the final exaggeration! He has to earn praise and he's taken the money and delivered no more than hope, unmet expectation and then failure, to date.

We undeniably did well. We got in with the SM's etc, but the con came in playing it up far beyond the deliverable reality or that required and then hiding the facts (BP, financials etc). This M.O. went on for years with other earlier big and smaller withholding and self-serving issues! aimho

I think we just have to acknowledge (sadly) that it is not enough to have a fantastic product. QRI/D works - we know it does. The Hardage report testifies to that. The back testing results prove it. Unfortunately, history is littered with great products that deserved to make it, but didn't. I too still have high hopes for VEC, but I also still believe that the economic model underpinning current extraction rates is not necessarily in our favour. I hope I'm wrong.

I, for one, will be very disappointed if VEC does not turn up value for us. I have high regards for AR based on his background and commercial success track record, particularly in the licensing and IP monetisation arena. So, whilst I see an exciting future in the new venture he may bring in, I still harbour hopes that he will be able to realise the value of VEC, together with Sandeep, in parallel. It's still in the works to my knowledge......

Shouldn't be too long now. Good luck all.

Like forget it in the wider context of what I believe will be happening at VIY. I think there is some value in VEC and if anyone can extract that value, imo, AR is the man to do that. But in MW terms of the 'real action', imo, VEC is not where the real action will be.Hopefully it(ie VEC) will still be able to add some value to the equation here.

As ever, imo etc etc, lets see what happens......

all very funny guys, helps pass the time. Must be due another of gemstar's informative 'price plunging' posts when it drops a smidgeon!

fwiw, and I'm sure gemstar is not in the least bit interested,MW is of the view that it can't be too long now before the real action starts.imo, the real action will relate to whatever AR can bring to the table. As for VEC, I am of the view we can forget it, there may be some value that is able to be extracted, but lets face it, SG has had long enough to raise funds/do something and , to date, nowt happening.

I am looking forwards to a very bright non VIY future!

F11 thinks it went very well. He's quite pleased, though he is in a bit of a huff that people have talked it down to these levels, but it's provided a few more buying opps than he'd anticipated. Now can people please get on message!

I think I decided to come aboard here years ago when I heard that Jim Slater had a large holding. S'pose he got in, and got out sharpish, and made a profit on the turn, after mugs like me listening to Red Hot Penny Letter tips piled in and stayed too long.

Well I've taken a wee look around to find out a bit about Adam Reynolds and have decided to stay.

He's a lot younger than TB and has been around and may still have some good friends, with quite a few irons in the fire. He has links with gold mining, bio research and has had past links with many others. If he can't put QRI to good use then I hae ma doots we're a gonner. Let's be optimistic though, for once, (AR has to be cos he's bought in and I don't think he's a time and money waster like most of us,eh?) and say he's got enough money from all his other interests to prevent him from fleecing us.

Now, if he can put QRI to work and find where to dig for loadsa gold, and invent several ground breaking new QRI enabled diagnostic tools for the biopharmaceutical, and every other search and research technology - well, the skys the limit - or maybe we'll be able to analyse the sky and space as well to finally prove to every politician (who's had the wool pulled over their heads by money grabbing scientists), that it's the sun, moon and universe, and God, who control the world's weather and climate, without any intervention from man. Then all hell will break loose and we'll have to get QRI to measure just how intricately we have all been conned into paying so heavily for all the costly green energy. I tell you when the truth gets out about how good our QRI phenomena is, and how it will save the world from wars, starvation and huge amounts of time and money. I jest not.

I say hold on and buy, and reach for the sky!.

Come on Adam Reynolds! . . . . You show us you can do it......
Come on Adam Reynolds! . . . . QRI needs an entrepreneur and he has to be you!
Come on Adam Reynolds!

Come on you guys, let's smile cos there's bound to be some truth in whit ah'm sayin'. Eh no?

Spec, AR has got to find a suitable company to buy and buying at the top of the market is not wise. If we get a shake out that might help in finding a suitable acquisition at a reasonable price.

I suspect that QRD is now dead but perhaps I am wrong.

I suppose if it hadn't been for Skorpions flat refusal to listen to reason we would not have this thread here :-) which i started to get away from the stupid list he was posting every day.. so something good came of it all......lol
As for the SAG ? well it bothers me that what was once just a gamble like a horse race ( the AIM i mean) has now become a serious investment market with its new found ISA status. I firmly believe if people are to be encouraged to save with the AIM then it needs properly regulating like the FTSE. There are way to many totally inexperienced board members running completely unviable companies talking absolute boll*cks like Bond and Dean. Talk of super majors and secrecy clauses and huge wage packets , totally un performance related. Remuneration committees chosen by the board to serve themselves and totally uncountable management electing themselves at AGM's because the shareholder vote is too fragmented to carry any weight. The government want the PI to back industry but have left the punters unprotected from the sharks that make money out of the shortcomings of the AIM.
There .....i feel better now :-)

Thanks for info spec I had not seen any apology from scorpion. I agree with you (as a general point not just here) that the widespread lack of shareholder coordination enabling action to hold BODs to account is regrettable. Am I allowed here to suggest that Nationwide 'members' automatically vote 'No' to all and every resolution proposed by its Board (if only for the fact that they went to the money markets charging high rates of interest and not to members to raise capital)?

But then again just look at the Co-op and its Crystal Methodist. How are the mighty fall'n as Mr Handel so wonderfully set to music.
