Nothing to do with VIY , other than AR is common to both DUC and VIY.Expect news on the VIY front soon.

DUC (from II) - "Shares in Ducat Ventures (DUC) rose 55.56% to 0.07p this morning and were suspended at the company's request. Ducat has confirmed it is in talks relating to a possible transaction which, if completed, would constitute a reverse transaction pursuant to the AIM Rules"

A poster on lse has pointed out DUC has been suspended, possible tied to VIY developments.

Worth looking at their recent news, could be AR is close the acquisition!

All that really matters to me is that Directors and the then proposed Directors stumped up £ 225k of their own cash to take part of the placing. They would not have done that if they did not see substantial value arising from the RTO. I therefore expect a large gap up when this re-opens followed by a big tree shake to shake out the weaker holders. That should be a good time to top up for what might follow, bearing in mind that recent director options will not be in the money until the share price reaches 0.5p

alimo,

I hope to be proven wrong, but if AR was confident the tech would be successful in gold mining he would have surely acknowledged this by now, in fact it was set out iin the restructuring details that Vialogy Plc were to pursue QRD usage in other exploration applications, so six months on and no mention of that from plc.

I have now come to terms with the fact the tech is flawed or at least all evidence suggests so.

Perhaps one day we will have some disclosure of why the SM's walked away from this!

We have no idea if CGG are still interested in the collaboration, yet even the restructure presentation by SG and BD suggested they were?

I see that AR is also chairman of ORE which is also experiencing challenging times. I'd like to think if there is any mileage in utilising the QRI that's left with VIY to pinpoint gold bearing deposites and increase the economics from the current discoveries. If VEC is to work with Oil/gas producers, is there anything to stop VIY and ORE getting together to increase revenues from a merger?

"It is far better to have a small slice of the pie than a big share of, right now, not a lot"

That is surely correct

But it does mean abandoning any real interest in VEC which is what VIY was supposed to be about

I hate it when companies change the story. Too much pot luck involved

GemstarNot sure why you are bothered, as I doubt if you hold. But yes, clearly any acquisition of any reasonable size will involve dilution. It's not too difficult to work out the sums, any incoming rto company will assign a value to VIY based on cash, the quote and any value they place on VEC. I can't see VEC being valued as much, as any rto will point to lack of contracts/funding and value accordingly.Re Is there any hope? Most definitely yes. It is far better to have a small slice of the pie than a big share of, right now, not a lot. Plus the indications are pi's will again be allowed to take part in any placing. The eventual success of any company injected into VIY will depend on the nature of that company, the make up of the board, the prospects for whatever comes in. But far better to have a second bite of the cherry than nothing at all, with the possibility that the rto company could represent a very attractive proposition. We should find out a lot more in a few weeks or so.

Is there any real hope?

Any "reverse" of any worth must involve massive dilution surely?

Have any of us heard any news cos some leak must have sparked the reaction to suspend dealing. The final four days were positive causing the share price to rise. Someone sold 14m+ shares just prior to this, so that person surely must be privvy to the chatter.

I still don't believe that 10yrs of investment into viy/QRD or whatever is a dead duck yet either.

You're right TP. Still a bit pessimistic though as there's not often a quick fix that pleases pi. At least there are some on-going discussions somewhere.

It seems yesterdays rise caused the suspension, sounds like we are looking at a month or so, so not long now.

Timmbo is correct, any consolidation and the options will reflect that.

How long will we be kept in suspenders ;-)
Ominous when the clock stops with a 100% spread on the monitor... There will have to be a consolidation but given the options kick in at .5p what happens if there is a 4:1 consolidation that takes them straight past .5p anyway ??
