It does indeed sound like a pre-fundraise dressing (fair enough - they'd be criticised if they said nothing.)

The Balfour Beatty connection is one that will register usefully with industry watchers.

I want Versarien to succeed. But they are hanging on by the skin of their teeth.
Fingers crossed that Mr Miliband throws another grant lifeline or two related to his pursuit of Net Zero.

Do you really believe any decent scientist will venture to such an unknown abyss ?
Working for a supposedly company of £1.0 market cap and begging for pennies every 3 months is not a scientific way to do "research". These must be the most idiotic scientists in the UK.
There are plenty of jobs out there for real scientists unless nobody would recruit them ... or they would never find a place with a comfortable bed and cups of tea all day long while watching football and cricket.

Agreed, this does look like a last ditch desperate attempt to raise the price before the inevitable placing.

As usual no real figures to go on, just hope and collaberations. How many of those have their been over the years?

They should have brought in a proper proven CEO when NR left, he would have brought in new ideas and possibly a new direction focused on earnings rather than agreements.

The RNS dressing is what we expected.
This is the main job of the RNS specialist of course.
The practical side of it and any outcome is just like flying on clouds and dreaming.
This mode will repeat itself under another shape for months as long as there is hope and zombies to pay for it ...

This is an excellent update by all accounts. The company is clearly making progress both commercially, technically and scientifically. This has all been achieved by having a scientist at the helm of a nascent scientific industry.

Yes there will be another placing at what price who knows. However what we do know is that the money is being used for the progression of the company and not to keep directors in executive lifestyles.

The share price will turn around and with its low market cap Versarien could be subject to a takeover.
