02/10/2024 06:35 | Read the fake thread! | fireball xl5
02/10/2024 06:33 | Do some research. How does cementene get it's graphene. The product sold to go to gym, from wher that materialise? They sold the equipment in Korea. | fireball xl5
02/10/2024 05:10 | I reckon they do not and cannot manufacture as they no longer have equipment to do so. VRS seem to now be a purely technical knowledge and advice outfit. The problem for shareholders is the valuation is premised on the potential scale and profit of Manufacturing. | zydecoco
02/10/2024 05:08 | I also suspect there is no materials manufacturing at VRS, or even equipment to do so. They seem to now be a purely technical knowledge and advice outfit. The problem for shareholders is the valuation is premised on the potential scale and profit of Manufacturing. | zydecoco
02/10/2024 03:46 | Do VRS still manufacture? Simple question that I'm struggling to get an answer to | philbyk144
02/10/2024 03:44 | So are they are marketing old stock but not making new? | philbyk144
01/10/2024 22:33 | Yesterday (Sept 30) was the end of VRS's financial year. Last year the annual results (to Sept 30 2023) were published in January. | grabster
01/10/2024 21:36 | #19488 OK, this is getting infantile to the point of absolute ridiculousness, but here goes: 'oh dear, the share price has fallen, the valuation is now low. I'm anguished' Happy? Actually, to tell the truth I'm not anguished because I only came across this recently - although I appreciate that others in for far longer, if they have held on, will have obviously taken a big hit. You'd hope individuals will have not staked too much on what is clearly a risky investment. And genuinely, they deserve sympathy and the hope that recovery here will salvage some of that capital. And, btw, you will continue to miss the point about the future here mattering more than the history. Because it doesn't suit you to acknowledge Versarian 'could' recover and thrive. | bluemango
01/10/2024 20:46 | If Versarien are to collect any royalties from the Brazilian paintmaker they recieved a £50k down payment from in March, I imagine the product development might run into next year. The sooner that kicks in the better, as there are several bigger global paintmakers who will likely be interested - including those who produce vehicle paints - and those will surely be more lucrative, especially for upmarket cars, aircraft, ships (military and civilian). Coatings is big business (What became of Versarien's previous collaborations in that field?) | grabster
01/10/2024 20:00 | Philbyk - they are still marketing drums of Cementene etc. Don't know if they sell (does it have a limited shelf life?) but they are priced on the Versarien sales website. Incidentally - if you run an Ebay search for each of the Versarien brand names, none of them appear - which is good news (no fakery). And no second hand olympic sleds, masks, boots, printed concrete garden tubs (they should surely be collectors items by now). Just a few pieces of Versarien foamed copper heat-sink pads from years ago. | grabster
01/10/2024 19:51 | Not been on here for a while. Are VRS still manufacturing graphene or are they just providing consultancy to the graphene market? I thought the latter but not followed much lately so could be wrong. If that is the case how can their customers take advantage of the unique properties of VRS graphene if VRS are not manufacturing it? | philbyk144
01/10/2024 17:19 | I know. I've run 8 show stands at the NEC, My reference to signing was only in response to your post --343 | grabster
01/10/2024 17:15 | Everybody and anybody who is anybody in the construction industry has heard of Versarian and its graphene products. The company has been listed on the stock exchange for 15 years and it has featured in The Sunday Times regularly and all the construction magazines. Nobody goes to these exhibitions to sign contracts its a trade show that's all. I use to go the Motor Show every year back in the day. Nobody ever went there to buy a car. | pwhite73
01/10/2024 17:05 | You do need people to spot the stand and be drawn to it. Otherwise they ain't gonna be there to chat or sign anything! Opportunity missed. The Versarien name is barely visible unless you're already stood there. | grabster
01/10/2024 17:03 | #19485 Incorrect. There's been plenty of justified criticism, not that any more is needed by way of balance because of the overwhelming amount already from you lot. Much of which is obvious anyway. It hardly needs spelling out, more than it has been. What's done is done. Along with the (not uncommon with all innovations) vast underestimation of how long this would take to gain traction. "nobody ever criticises the rampers for making a wrong call" This isn't some primary school where you get awarded gold stars for being right so far. But if you're that insecure, here's a 'well done for being right so far' from me. But my suspicion is that everyone else is (or at least should be!) rather more interested in the future. | bluemango
01/10/2024 17:01 | And have you ever known a single contract to be signed because a company or individual was impressed with a stand? | pwhite73
01/10/2024 16:56 | "It's the same stand they use at every exhibition." Maybe that's part of their problem! With a background in the design and construction of buildings I go to lots of such shows - and I strongly disagree that blandness is advantageous. If you are more than a yard or two from this stand it is practically invisible. | grabster
01/10/2024 16:44 | grabster - "the Versarien stand is so insipid!....Nothing about it to grab the attention of passers-by" The Versarien stand is just right. Its the same stand they use at every exhibition. This is a trade exhibition for the construction industry not the Milan Fashion Show. The passers by work with concrete, cement, tar, gravel, bricks, mortar, cranes, scaffolding, pneumatic drills etc in short they all get their hands dirty. All they want to know is does the equipment do the job. They couldn't give a about presentation. | pwhite73
01/10/2024 16:27 | Hello Grabster, Ref your comment on BB '..they didn't have to turn to Versarien, but have chosen to.' Connections maybe but Manchester Uni don't 'make' graphene. Versarien 'make' graphene and produce a product called Cementene for concrete etc. 'Connection' only not much use ... So why didn't Balfour Beatty turn to somebody else's graphene? | laginaneil
01/10/2024 16:18 | NEC display. Insipid! Too discrete. | grabster
01/10/2024 16:04 | It's a shame that having paid for some expensive floor space at the NEC, the Versarien stand is so insipid! Nothing about it to grab the attention of passers-by, or to show up strongly in videos of the event. Needed to be much bolder. It looks like a nondescript page from inside a finance brochure. Not punchy enough. Too discrete. Such a wasted opportunity. A bit more orange-on-black needed, instead of almost all orange on white. | grabster |
