You can apply for an innovation loan if you have an existing award from Innovate UK, so long as you are not applying for the same innovation project and we consider that you have made substantial effort to exploit any previous award.

That's Innovate out of the equation then.

Innovate loans are to support small to medium businesses with innovative projects. The ability to raise capital in other areas or not, seems irrelevant.

I thought Innovate loans were for companies that can't raise money in the markets? VRS has demonstrated - repeatedly - that it can...

Innovate are already on the hook for a £5M loan that has, at VRS's request, had the payback commencement date pushed back. Doubt they'd be wildly enthusiastic about throwing good money after bad here, especially when TW gave them such a hard time over the original loan (for which VRS was technically ineligible).

Even if they're successful in their grant application(s), before the formal grant offer letter is issued, financial checks are done - does anyone think they'll pass muster? If they do, grant payments are paid quarterly, in arrears, which means that the earliest possible payment would be around September, assuming a project start date 1 month after approval...

The group has sales but they appear to be mostly the now non-core businesses. Graphene orientated sales are minimal.

Am I correct in saying the company still has no sales ? If that is the case then all of this posturing and taking pay cuts etc is only delaying the inevitable imo. Please correct me if I am wrong about the sales.... Crabs.
