If there's a boiler room operation running you can bet that jock holiday is involved somehow. But if he is involved it really is only a teeny tiny operation because the guy is a dooozy

Ricketts has been exposed as the charlatan he is. Knowingly, he led shareholders a merry dance with the knowledge he was nowhere near pulling off a deal. Shyster.

Tks tini5,

|I bet very few smiling faces.

I closed shorts at 30p mark, IG in the meantime had ceased trading VRS at that time.

I believe they opened the book at a later date, I did not participate.

Shareprophets, Tim W, his wife and kids are now hassle free it seems.

The threatening SH's that campaigned for his and wife demise, have hopefully committed hari flippin cari!

cheers

Hello tini,

Thank you for some feedback on AGM, appreciated.

I don't think they should sell the 'old' part of the business - my view.

I wondered how the Total Carbide side was going ?

Thanks tini5 for your notes from the AGM that gives some context behind the recent results and AGM statement. Today's announcement that the company is actively looking at the divestment of the legacy business in the event of grant funding not coming through is something to be welcomed rather than a fund-raise at current share price levels which would not yield much with the current authority. If they could get several Million it could bridge the gap to commercialisation and be a valid one-off recovery transaction to transform the balance sheet. It may change the shorter mindset.

Thanks Tini5, I concur with most of your points but have not yet finished writing up my own notes. However my own feeling by the time I left was much more upbeat than when I arrived. Especially having talked at length with some of the staff present, one of whom has just bought a house on the basis that he now feels his job to be secure. Neill surprised me with his positive support for the board that just dumped him - there's still some mutual respect there, and of course it's in his interest as a main shareholder to see the project succeed. Chris Leigh had to paint an honest picture of the challenges facing the company, but disaster is not imminent or inevitable. NanoSteve's presentation of the short term prospects was much more positive as long one understands the intricacies of getting some of the necessary approvals and certification through the red tape that surrounds the construction industry. Textile success is gathering pace with UMBRO, GoToGym and Flex, and one smaller firm. Madness not to top up at this level in my view.

Many don't seem to really understand the processes for closing shop. From the chart in freefall to the CEO jumping ship to today confirmation of "there is no business to wait for at all". The message is clear. Meanwhile keep buying the "dips" until it reaches zero ...

So with the board taking a pay cut? Does that include the former CEO now on garden leave who as the largest private shareholder vowed to help the company succeed? It’s pretty admirable that the non execs have decided to forfeit their salary. I applaud that.

No, headcount comment is purely my own assumption.

And yes, he was.
