10/2/2022 13:05 | Disagree. Evidence is needed not beliefs. Nothing from vrs suggests anything other than more of the same. Lots of testing, little of selling. | kierculpa
10/2/2022 09:49 | "The story getting better and the share price lagging is exactly what I want." I forecast a successful investment career for mjatkin82. | kemche
10/2/2022 09:13 | I always try and eliminate bias when assessing investments. VRS have tested my discipline in this regard to the extreme. To properly appraise current opportunities I have to avoid 'anchoring' of both share price (I bought at x% higher) and expectations (china deal, arch etc etc) and come at this cold, assuming no position held and no knowledge of the past. It is only then that one has the clarity to answer the question, would I invest in this company if I first discovered it today? For me the answer to this question is an overwhelming yes. In fact I have done just this by topping up this very morning. I am not dismissing the actions of the past and have deeply considered how they will affect the future direction of this company. My belief is that mistakes have been made, lessons learned and my investment is more likely to succeed as a result. | touche

10/2/2022 08:37 | Jointer going for world record on the post this morning. A little hint from Versarien twitter, Pics of what may be a shelf unit or anything with dividers being 3d printed, our design, apparently. Some snarky soul say's 'I'd rather it was making money' and VRS reply: 'That's exactly what it is doing'. Fingers crossed! | clint fleecewood
10/2/2022 07:43 | That’s a good reminder of how much they have moved on since then. | chillpill

09/2/2022 20:51 | They said cementene would be added by end of last week…hardly a big progression. | chillpill
09/2/2022 20:35 | Been watching Neill on twitter no mention of the other 5000 sq ft floor?. Wonder if the new printed part is Cybe mortar or Cementene? | laginaneil
09/2/2022 19:44 | They said they had pre-orders for the machine so I think the answer is yes. One 3D printer doesn’t make a company however they can add a new one for less than £300k. Longhope as I understand will see small scale production (and R&D) and also act as a demonstration venue. Part of the idea of 3d printing is that a lot of it is done on site- as they are doing with HS2. It has been hinted at they might switch some the the legacy business into higher margin graphene products although VRS aren’t looking to become a large scale manufacturing company. | chillpill
09/2/2022 19:33 | Hello Chill, I like the video you found but I wish they would slow a bit of it down so we can see what goes on, it's so fuzzy when fast. So is this paid for stuff? | laginaneil
09/2/2022 19:31 | Not officially. Circa June for end March period. | alchemy

09/2/2022 18:52 | Cemex have already been involved with some of the concrete pours. They did the one at Manchester University and at least one other. I see the 3-D printer is up and running. No doubt satisfying some of the pre-orders they discussed in the November presentation. My guess from the picture it is flood defences but could be part of the HS2 toilet block order. | chillpill
09/2/2022 17:12 | What have you got against Snake Oil? | festario
09/2/2022 17:07 | Thank you jointer for the 'precis' on RR, copper CVD etc. | laginaneil
09/2/2022 17:03 | Hello Supernum, Will be interesting to see if Rolls Royce use the stuff of Amazon or the other company you mentioned. I think RR can sort the 'spin' from the 'snake oil' eh. Comments about aluminum are interesting (low weight). Been in use as a conductor for many years but depends on lots factors whether it is used in practice in a particular application. | laginaneil
09/2/2022 16:57 | Well, given that huge, mind blowing deals were supposedly being done in 2018, together with collaborations with huge corporations that apparently don't get any bigger.... and nothing happened, I'd say that the odds are heavily against it. | festario
09/2/2022 16:26 | I always miss the point - it comes naturally. But '..or is 2022 another year of no commercialisation ?' - year end for 21/22 is indeed weeks away. I took the post as meaning 2022 as the calendar year. | c140
09/2/2022 16:19 | re. graphene/copper.... "Significant progress has been made optimising growth conditions for uniform multi-layer graphene on copper wires in a batch process." rolls royce. The collaboration with Rolls Royce and the GEIC to investigate the growth of CVD grown graphene on copper wires is ongoing. The surface of copper wires is an oxide rich region, that plays no part in electrical conduction and which becomes significant as the wire gauge gets smaller and smaller. Graphene enables the copper surface to remain oxide-free after the growth process, allowing for reduced weight and higher current-carrying capacity...... then..... Significant progress has been made optimising growth conditions for uniform multi-layer graphene on copper wires in a batch process. High temperature exposure leads to excessive oxidation of copper, however, minimal oxidation to graphene coated copper wires is observed when quantitatively assessed by Raman spectroscopy that can monitor the presence of both graphene and copper oxide peaks simultaneously. Two and four point DC resistivity measurements have shown early indications of reduced contact resistances for graphene coated copper wires, a sign that graphene could offer great potential in the design of future aircraft..... then.... Project completed with Rolls Royce and the Graphene Engineering Innovation Centre to understand and create technological advances in the aerospace sector utilising chemical vapour deposition (CVD) graphene and other 2D materials we await whats coming next | jointer13
09/2/2022 15:43 | I think you are missing the fact that the company year end is March (Only a few weeks away). The original comment from VRS was that the company year to March 2021 was going to be a year of commercialisation. That didn't happen and clearly it's not going to happen this year either. | philbyk144 |
