Getting back to the business at hand, I for one am eagerly waiting for substantial commercial deals to be announced. We are all aware of 5 NDA projects which Neill and his team are working on to bring home. These deals take time to sign off. All multi billion corporations have layers of authority which need to sign off. It takes time.

Log, just to respond to your earlier post*until it can show that it has a protectable, high margin product which is in high demand. They have not shown this at all in the last 3 years despite constantly promoting it as such*1. VRS product is protectable - protection of IP is paramount to the company as discussed in many podcasts, and is something that they will not risk in order to get a quick or easy deal 2. High margin - management have recently rejigged their product mix in order to maximise high margin products. This may take some time to bed in but is why you are seeing a slightly lower turnover. Google has a range of graphene pricing for you to review, whilst this is not reliable for us to base anything on it is enough to see that 2D materials will be a seriously profitable area in a very short period of time3. High demand - the global demand for graphene is growing annually, company RNSs detail the interest by several global majors example Airbus, AECOM, MAS, Tungshu and a number of governments including China, South Korea Japan and USA Lastly, personal note, if you have a short open Id clear it if I were you, this is only going to get more and more difficult for you

Interesting to look outside the little bubble that is advfn and inconsequential posters who have their heads in the sand! A lot out there in the public domain that should pique interest , I either have inside information on Aecom or Nike or China or all governments even, or read in RNS's and what the company tells us, some of the idiots on here should grow up or shut up and watch and learn . Who is buying eh?

US playing catch up on graphene too, see if you can find it ;) Good for VRS for obvious reasons but those that don't look won't find it lol.

The company also focuses its efforts according to what it refers to as the "Triple Double Strategy." This approach centers on the core areas of Innovation, Direct, and Speed. The company expects that, in the next five years, 50% its growth will originate from new concepts that are developed and grown to scale.

Key Challenges
Although sportswear and apparel are growing markets, and in spite of its dominance on a global level, Nike nonetheless faces tough competition for sales as well as for production capabilities. Because Nike outsources most of its manufacturing, it is susceptible to changes in the manufacturing industry dynamic in a way that some other companies are not. Like all other companies that rely in large part on the strength of a brand, Nike must work to actively grow and maintain that brand recognition over time or else face the possibility of losing popularity among consumers. Additionally, consumer preferences and the technology involved in sports apparel and equipment are changing all the time, and Nike must be deliberate about staying on top of these developments in order to best appeal to its customers.

Scrutable the members of the discord group have not been taken inside and can trade freely. They can also invite new members who will not be inside.

If there's all this great news to share then why not simply RNS it and see the shares rise?

Legally any company can impart confidential information to anyone in whom they have confidence by "making them an insider" At the same time these "insiders" must follow the same trading rules as apply to directors and key staff ie not to buy or sell shares during a close period.

Future of Bridges | Innovation versus risk
17 DEC, 2019 BY CATHERINE KENNEDY

New materials are crucial to enable this maintenance. As part of her PhD at the University of Cambridge, Costain business development manager Ioanna Papanikolaou has studied the use of graphene and its use in concrete.

Graphene is a new high strength material capable of incorporating sensor technology.

“When you have external sensors in the structures, they’re not an inherent part of the structure and that’s their biggest limitation,” she explains. “When you have a self-sensing material, the material on its own can diagnose its condition.”

Cowi director Joanna Bonnett said self-sensing materials would be a “step forward” given the current mismatch between structural health monitoring systems and structures themselves.

“Inevitably structural health monitoring systems need renewing and reviewing over the life of the structure,” she says. “If it was embedded, you can see how that would be a real strength, but we need to have a staged approach. We need to move from proof of concept through smaller scale structures and gradually build up that scaling arrangement because that’s how things get accepted.”

Scrutable but you've yet to justify the valuation gap between VRS and other graphene production companies and more importantly the constant raising of hope and non delivery by Neill and his apparently world class team.

Sales of graphene were down from the two sub cos last year to a few tens of thousands of pounds. I have no problem paying for growth or protectable high margin IP but VRS doesn't have either.

Facts again to debunk C-s' stupid disclaimer 88813 "I'm really not remotely interested in how any other shares are doing....".

How else can anyone calibrate their judgement?

FROM THE IKA HEADER on advfn:

"Traditionally, materials development has been a slow and arduous task, with manual, sequential methods used to make samples of material that are then tested for suitability. ON AVERAGE IT TAKES BETWEEN 7 AND 10 YEARS TO MOVE FROM INITIAL DISCOVERY THROUGH TO THE FIRST COMMERCIAL PROTOTYPE...... The Company (IKA) has used its HT-PVD process to carry out experiments 10 to 100 times faster than using traditional techniques. The Company’s process identifies families of materials which provide multiple candidates for scale-up.

HT-PVD - I suppose that means High Temperature (450 degree) Physical Vacuum Deposition Process - which VRS probable has or can access in Manchester

Just thinking back on some 'Chinese' companies and 'working' in China in the past. Just two sprang to mind quickly the first one being GDL which one person who posts on here was deeply into and in trouble with CFD's that could have potentially wiped them out.

That particular person was casting around trying to get others to 'pump' it up to help them out, the thing is , it was a punt on them and obvious that the CEO was pulling the wool over peoples eyes with China, the person who was deeply into it was told on several occasions and should have known better, however that is the past and done with for now.

Simon Cawkwell (Evil Knievil) was promoting a Chinese clothing company that listed on AIM (can't remember the name of that co. now). A couple of guys in China that saw an opportunity with a load of b/s, waited for the appropriate time and took the cash and ran, no company, no business and an absolute scam.Nomad couldn't find any evidence of them anywhere or the company for that matter.

PRG which sucked a lot of investors in and is mainly responsible for Ian's insecurity . That CEO was believable and understood why investors were pulled in , totally wrong and he should be locked up for what he did.

As for VRS and China that is why it has been important to ensure that the deal is absolutely spot on, never be perfect but close will do.

No telephone no. some say but it is straightforward enough to find them if you put in the effort to find out a lot don't and that is what shorters rely on , they do put a lot of work and effort in to try and con money out of PI's , if they were silent about it that would be fine but the fact that they are so verbal means that they are concerned about their 'investment' , expect a recall on the shorts in the not too distant future, they know that!

Just a thought that Matt will be a leading Government authority on VRS and graphene and his input will be required at high level also suspect that he is highly valued at the DTI with his finger on the pulse. Make no mistake that graphene is on the government agenda and that is why there are two DTI employees (double agents maybe lol).

Club - in your own words*I accept that in terms of building the long-term future of the company useful foundational work was done*It is good that you recognise that the company has made good progress during the last 12 months. You are entitled to your own opinions, regardless of who agrees or disagrees with you. Putting aside the share price and all your other frustrations, would you not agree with me that in 2019 the management have been successful in improving their, and therefore our future prospects?

Superg1. Post 88815. I am appalled that anyone would give your post a thumbs down. Whoever it is should be ashamed of themselves. How low the depths to which some people go. There is so much more to life than money.
May I wish, whomever is the member of staff at VRS, a speedy recovery and a return to complete health.

Says it all doesn’t it when some try to suggest investor events next week are delayed due to the naysayer tripe, when in fact it’s down to illness of a key staff member.

For the record he is a great guy and good to know he is back on his feet ready to roll but some restrictions for a short time with cover by others needed.

Scrutable. Thanks for the comments, but I'm really not remotely interested in how any other shares are doing. My only concern is how Versarien is doing, and why the company and its hapless CEO has failed to deliver on a single one of the promises/predictions made about last year. The Aecom update was a damb squib. So was 'SeeSaw' (whatever the hell it actually even was), and so was the 'BIGT deal by the AGM' hot air. That's off the top of my head - I'm sure there are others if I checked. Far from being 'transformative' and 'mind-blowing' - clear representations about what the company would achieve in 2019 - the entire year was a washout in terms of delivery. I accept that in terms of building the long-term future of the company useful foundational work was done - but the fact still remains that the share price is on its ass, lower than this time last year despite much apparent progress, those who bought into the fundarise at 145p have been underwater ever since, and to date there has been not a single significant commercial supply contract signed. And then of course there's the APPALLING latest set of figures.

So I wish you luck with your other investments, but I will continue to focus on this one, and on holding to account a CEO who has promised so much and delivered so little.

Hi Scrutable nice to see you back. Re your tips I note IQ_AI no longer appears on your list despite having fallen off a cliff; have you lost faith in it? With regards ARB having done some research re payback between the antminer s17 and t17 the payback looks far worse for the latter and independent payback figures seem to indicate the companies own figures are optimistic although price of bitcoin will influence this significantly.

Schmally, that's rich , seeing as it was Lucky Orange who starred all that stuff anyway!I would say also, that either you are I have indeed been manipulated. If it is me, then I'll be able to buy some VRS shares, at some future point, and I'll benefit from further financial gains as the company evolves. If it is you, then I hate to think.....
