Did you PROTECT YOUR CAPITAL yesterday? Small suckers bounce this morning could give you another opportunity to hold on to some of your wealth. Even the less savvy investors like Fest have managed to save themselves. How much do YOU lose every time this drops 1p.

Quite simply there have been some chunky sells in rent days which look like one seller.

Once done (of not already) the balance returns.

I just say it as it is. I'm supremely confident of a material outcome for VRS as and when. No sweaty palms here.

The fraudsters do what they do and some fall for it.

BTW SN has had a long gripe with NR called envy, being an engineer SN and a failure, then he doesn't like others to succeed.

2019 has just ended - and it was quite a year for the graphene industry. Slow but real progress is evident, as more and more graphene-based products reach the market and graphene starts to fulfil its promise and move from the lab to the market.
Fully agree it will be interesting to see what comes next on our journey
Best wishes
Ff

A sea of blue on my shares’ prices today with the one exception of VRS.

That’s a bit galling as from my own research I am satisfied that both 1) the commercial market for graphene and other nanomaterials will blossom over the next five years and 2) VRS is currently the most investable of all the early-stage quoted companies looking to enjoy that blossoming, certainly in the UK and probably worldwide for a UK resident PI. I’ve spent some of this evening just refreshing that latter view in relation to such companies as Haydale, Applied Graphene Materials, Directa Plus, First Graphene, Talga, XG Sciences, Zen Graphene, Perpetuus, Graphenea and paragraf.

I have also been reading some of the press articles about big winning AIM/ listed small cap shares of the last decade, some of which I’ve been fortunate to hold. Each of those big winner’s share prices hit soft spots which at the time was galling. Subsequent success has been largely down to the winning company being in right markets at right time, hard work and clear leadership – all current attributes of VRS I believe.

I’m also fortunate that I’m still well in (unrealised) profit on VRS which is an inevitable psychological factor when looking at red on an otherwise all blue screen.

I think the recent Graphene-info newsletter, prepared in Israel, summarises the position well:

There could well be a bounce with a double bottom on the chart at 80p. Certainly one to watch. If the volume picks up I will take a speculative stake. In the interim TCN also looks like it could rally tomorrow have attracted buyers from it's low.

Supernumerary, thank you for educating me, although I expect I shall never dare use the word 'specious' ever in my life, for fear of sounding pretentious, or simply misrepresenting the word.Mondegreen is another interesting word, and I like that definition thank you. However, just like Hunger Dog it is merely yet another fictitious user name created by Dean Haigh, the sad, lonely and pathetic stalker. So, I was compelled to filter it instantly.

I've always preferred Endgame above Godot (though I enjoy that too) but as I approach my dotage I find that Krapp's Last Tape is becoming more significant, with its themes of reflection, regret and loss.

Nice 'chatting' although as you state above I fear my contributions will soon be expunged (another favourite) all the best for 2020 ..

Hunger - mondegreen is indeed a very fine word. Not an application of confirmation bias I'd previously considered, so thank you for that. And thanks also for the other words, although I'm already quite familiar with them all, but I find the Times crossword satisfies my day to day needs for vocabulary enhancement.

I'm perfectly happy to accept that Fest is common, I just don't see much wrong with that. Your list of defects - darts, pubs, bargain clothes etc - describes a post-war world that I barely remember, so I have to confess to feeling more nostalgia than contempt.

I fear I may be too old to finish the Beckett novels - I'd probably prefer to keep re-reading Godot, it has such resonance with events around us - but I'll bear your suggestion in mind when my shelf of unread fiction empties somewhat.

tini - if you can find a link to the OED definition of specious I'd be most obliged if you'd post it. I'm rather disappointed to find that my OED copy doesn't include HD's mondegreen, a sad omission I'm sure you'd agree.

PS pleasant to have a civilized discussion here. I fear the little furry one will delete half of it in line with the 'do not engage' admonition. So sad.

Very informative indeed Super, but one has to accept that Fest, an avid darts player who spends most of his leisure time in the pub, whose dress sense is dictated by the Sports Direct bargain rail and proudly boasts his avoidance of books, is (despite his self proclaimed wealth and impressive career) simply COMMON.

Fest:

'I have never heard the word *Specious before in my entire 55 years of life' (*why the capital?)

A frankly embarrassing admission confirming yet again you are an ignorant barely literate oaf (as if your struggle with imply/infer wasn't evidence enough)

This is what comes from only reading one book in the last three decades (that book being a wrestlers biography)

It's a pleasure Hoverflyman.

Remember also that Neil strongly hinted recently in an interview that Gnanomat are getting "interest from European funding spearheads"

If so, expect more Gnanomat EU grant news soon!

Note also that this EU spearhead project end dates also fit nicely with Gnanomat's timeframe for major commercialisation.

Mr Ricketts links Gnanomat to Maxwell Tech.

If Maxwell tech facilitate a 1M mile battery for tesla... that drivetrain and battery investor day could prove interesting for related parties. It was delayed to early 2020. But such are the ramblings of a mad old coot. The wise find better comforts in last years books. Ms Steel's 'Turning Point' was thoroughly gripping, I hear.
