Thanks Bobsworth for finding that so quickly! Neill said during the penultimate AGM that our batteries would be a few years before launch ... but VRS will be flying by then :)

Graphene in Mobiles .

Once one starts the rest will follow surely .

Samsung and Huawei have been mentioned as interested in graphene I’m sure I have read somewhere .

But that’s Just one of the many sectors graphene may be able to enhance.

What about the phone bodies as well the screens , sensors ect and moving on the trucks and ships and planes transporting them .

Too many sectors to think about .

Good job ours is quality graphene .
Bring it on you can’t stop progress in technology .

Patent granted to Gnanomat
por Gnanomat | Abr 10, 2019 | News & Media, Uncategorized
Gnanomat S.L. («GNA») has been awarded a patent by the Oficina Española de Patentes y Marcas, the Spanish patent office, covering a method of obtaining nanomaterials composed of carbonaceous material (e.g. graphene) and metallic oxides. The patent covers a key...

Gnanomat is focused in the design, development and production of advanced nanomaterials with carbonaceous base to be used as electrode materials in Energy Storage Systems (ESS). Our aim is to improve electrochemical properties of commercial supercapacitors and batteries.

From Neill’s tweet: Graphene batteries: What are they and why are they a big deal?

“ Li-ion batteries can use graphene to enhance cathode conductor performance. These are known as graphene-metal oxide hybrids. Hybrid batteries result in lower weight, faster charge times, greater storage capacity, and a longer lifespan than today’s batteries. The first consumer-grade graphene batteries are likely to be hybrids.”

“ Although graphene battery technology remains some years away, it’s a tantalizing prospect for future smartphones, gadgets, electric vehicles, and much more. It’s one to keep an eye on.”

I understand that one of Gnanomat’s fields is the research of graphene/metal oxide hybrids and indeed it has a patent application in this respect.

The comparison, SN, is between Bezos and Musk. You validate the point of the article with your scepticism. Those in the market at the time made exactly the same points you make now - there's no need for the service, the product is rubbish, the leadership is incapable. Some only predict success after the event - and others risk more than they can afford (I don't bet the farm, as convinced as I can be given the evidence, and despite what the local children think of the spooky old girl in the tumbleweed house - the ghosts haven't yet opened the dimensional portal to 2025). History may be a harsh judge yet. As you say, 'time will tell', yet you still feel the need to take Time's words out its mouth with what you believe are certainties based on nothing more than the same guess-work you deride in others.

Happy New Year everybody - even Graham. Let’s hope 2019 is half the year we all hope it will be!

Read that carefully, and you'll see that at least one wish came true!

nats - it's delusional to think that Ricketts is in any way, shape or form comparable to Musk.

club - I'm sorry you've filtered me, but it's your loss not mine :) On the off-chance you didn't really mean it, might I point out that having a go at Wuzy for 2018/19 predictions is well out of order. This is what you said at the time:

'Club Sandwich 31 Dec '18 - 08:59 - 55063 of 876830 2 0
WUZY - yep, somewhere around there, if everything works out as we hope. Maybe higher if China is really stonking...'

so you're really criticising yourself in that particular attack.

No point in having a go at me either, since as far as I can see we agree on almost everything about VRS. Where we seem to differ is that I just don't believe the magic AIM fairy is going to turn Rioketts's load of old rubbish into a humungous golden egg.

Time will tell...
