03/11/2019 18:24 | 17 of the 27 take more than they give, 23 of 27 sell more to the UK than they buy from us. Of course they want us to stay in the EU, Germany are the biggest sellers to us and who picks up the gap in paying the 17 if we are not there. If I was from one of those that benefit I'd definitely want to stay in the EU. Paying 1 Euro and getting 5 back is brilliant. I certainly wouldn't want those who give us the money to leave. | superg1
03/11/2019 17:58 | Could have done with you being there last night superg. lol. | par4artthou
03/11/2019 17:56 | par4 All the kit and ingredients needed are supplied by VRS, with the obvious flow of cash into a UK company. Perhaps you could ask him how the various EU countries that take far more than they give to the EU are of a benefit to the UK. What was the point of allowing countries to join that do nothing more than bleed others to death. Enjoy, let us know how you get on :-) | superg1
03/11/2019 17:53 | China might invest in projects in the UK using our graphene as a key element. | mikkydhu
03/11/2019 17:47 | If it benefits UK shareholders it will benefit the UK economy...some will inevitably sell some at some point and spend their profits.... | woodpeckers
03/11/2019 17:42 | I was discussing VRS with a staunch remainer last night and saying how we would add benefit to the UK economy with this China deal, and he asked how producing graphene in China would be of benefit to anyone here but us shareholders. I wasn't able to give him a decent answer. Can anyone here provide me with some ammo please. | par4artthou
03/11/2019 17:35 | Woody: great post as usual ;0) | spike_1
03/11/2019 17:07 | China recognises that VRS uniquely has the product quality and the process knowledge to optimise Graphenes incorporation into virtually every material and product required to fulfil the 2025 plan. This would require incubators and Beijing Versarien Graphene Company factories in every province if the 2025 plan is to be achieved. Leaving aside the range of products for the domestic and international markets the plan involves re-constructing the majority of the domestic infrastructure. Roads, bridges, tunnels, rail, airports, whole towns and factory areas, water supply, drainage systems etc. As previously posted Chinas annual concrete consumption is more than 1 billion cubic meters. Adding 125g of our product per cubic meter doubles the lifespan of the concrete and massively increased its compressive and tensile strength reducing the volume requirement by circa 50%. Importantly the structural limitations of existing concrete is simply not up to the demands of many significant projects that will be enabled by the ultra high performance concretes that will be available with our product. The scale of the demand for our product for the domestic construction sector alone is unimaginably large. Then add in China’s infrastructure construction across the globe! Then add in the industrial applications for aerospace, automotive, energy, electronics, communications etc etc for both the domestic and international markets! With China providing the land , the factories and the working capital for this to be delivered with no requirement for dilution to fund growth VRS is surely going to become one of the most valuable shares ever. | evergreen8

03/11/2019 16:22 | Aha Bonfire night, fireworks, rockets the smell of burning everywhere, perfect timing. | superg1
03/11/2019 15:53 | Encapsulated beautifully Woody Train tracks are positively vibrating The results of months of strategic planning at the highest level will spark off the Graphene revolution. Big respect to The One and only Versarien | iain dick
03/11/2019 15:48 | The timing may still look good, with the government being accused of a 'lack of commitment' regarding climate change, now would be the perfect time to publicly announce the high levels of support it gives to pioneering green tech companies like VRS. It's also possible that a BIGT announcement next week could help the PM's election campaign, next week maybe a game changer for us all. | aintree77
03/11/2019 15:22 | Yes no point Chris signing part 1 without signing part 2 - factory and BIGT £ buy in etc. Not sure how long that Beijing Graphene conference is running for but what a great platform to announce the BIGT deal from. A grand finale with fireworks and all! Sure bodes well for next week ! | bobsworth
03/11/2019 14:39 | JB I've pondered over the news, with no release Friday, but enough time to put out something brief That looked like stage one of the plan, the Nomad will be well aware and stand alone it looks like news. So here we go imo, time to 'keep em peeled' for part 2. | superg1
03/11/2019 14:36 | Owenga That's my view too, just one part of the puzzle so best we get Jointer on pro plus keeping an eye on the web. | superg1
03/11/2019 14:17 | Had a dream: VRS shares suspended, RNS about China, two days to explain the significance to numpties, lift suspension, share price £5. Ah! | verger
03/11/2019 13:48 | JB2, no offence intended but you may like to consider that post and it's implications in regard to NR and FCA. | clint fleecewood
03/11/2019 13:28 | Still think the timing was pertinent - day after Brexit should have been done and dusted and a great government trade story to start the new era You don't organise a big signing/meeting like that at the drop of a hat - it must have been scheduled for some time and in anticipation of October 31st exit. Government thinking how to announce it now? Just my 2p | iofra
03/11/2019 13:14 | WRT the number of people with pens in hand in the photo: "Beijing Graphene Industry Innovation Center Seed Incubation Park officially launched Under the witness of many guests, the Beijing Graphene Industry Innovation Center Seed Incubation Park was officially launched. The first batch of enterprises stationed in the park carried out a series of activities such as centralized signing,......" | sandbag

03/11/2019 13:06 | Oh, and as Einstein said "Stay away from negative people, they have a problem for every solution" and cost you money buy talking you out of a good company like Versarien. | luckyorange |
