wooly

One in particular sold what sounds like all his holding in VRS and bought IOF.

Hence the price drops here and spiked including buying on the highs there.

That’s what mass buying and selling does.

Bids now well on it’s way on the predicted course, with much worse to come with further massive misses and material funding needed for the black hole spending rampage they are on.

Kemorkid agreed, the big five are considered quicker wins, where as the battery and super capacitor markets have massive potential regarding volume but are I suspect in the 5-10 year range.

UKBIC has been set up to run tonne scale projects where as the Faraday funded projects and those through catapult type initiatives like GIAC tend to be around the kilogram scale projects.

Link gives a good insight.

I believe recommendation by the Faraday Institution team regarding UK need is Gigafactory 1 2022, 2 by 2025, 3 by 2029

Noting 3 sites are already being considered in public domain and it is important to remember this is all about the next generation battery.

How big a part Graphene and other 2D materials will play is the question. I would love to see inside Neill's head on his expectations for 5 - 10 years.

Kermokid, I don't think it is either...something hopefully for the future by my understanding...I reposted Mike B's post simply because Landereo had brought up the subject of batteries and I felt Mike had explained well where we fit in.

I thought from shaviens report from AGM that batteries weren’t one of the 5 big focus points .
I could be wrong Wood !

On what basis. You don't know any data that would allow you to make an informed calculation . Other than you believe they will sell more graphene at some stage. At present they account for 0.00002% of worldwide market. As Yazz said the only way is up?

Landereo - re 'let's talk batteries'

I hope Mike B won't mind me reposting this from about a year ago, I saved it for reference and thought others who missed it might benefit from seeing it too...

After lots of recent posts on this here's my take on a Battery / supercapcitor summary in relation to Zap & Go - have simplified a lot and not sharing all the detail below as believe they are sensitive so just the building blocks:

1. Zap & Go create the electrolytes in a carbon ion battery / supercapacitor - its a gel and all-solid state C-Ion cells which are basically lots of nano-sized channels formed by a polymer network of membranes for easy ion migration

2. VRS provide the graphene (quality key)

3. Gnanomat functionalise VRS graphene and turn it into graphene enhanced electrodes (difficult chemistry)

Combine the 3 together you have potential for carbon ion batteries / supercapacitors which is why they need to work with bigger battery manufacturing companies who do that / link to the software platforms for energy management etc ... e.g Williams Advanced Materials, big Chinese battery folks etc ...

The VRS & Gnanomat tech can be used for a range of other battery applications and techs but that's for another day

Yes Par, I saw the sale of 286 shares, which I assume must your holding, though I didn't realise you held so many. That'll teach Ricketts!!

Lets talk batteries.

Faraday challenge £246m
UKBIC Battery Industrialisation Centre opening in Coventry in 2020 £120m+ plus investment.

Plans for 3 Gigafactories including one in wales!

Jaguar Land Rover very vocal, WMG involved. We are in collaborations with WMG and Flexibat have been for at least 3 years.

I found a post last night on raw material volumes required per factory the scale is extraordinary. I will post it I come across it again.

How far is the interplay between the share price rise and fall of VRS and IOF coordinated? It so often seems that one rises by a few percent whilst the other falls and vice versa, then the in the next day or so it is reversed.

'10-11 December 2019 Graphene@Manchester will open their doors to industry to explore the hottest topics in the field of graphene at the Graphene Industry Showcase 2019.

Since its last showcase event in 2017, graphene is now reaching a key tipping point in its research and commercialisation.'

Admission is free. Spaces are limited....Anyone who hasn't been to the GEIC, this could be a great opportunity...

Mike

The next Haydale fund raise is going to be very nasty indeed.

Some fund managers had the serious issues spelt out to them and they still stuck investors money in.

Never use fund managers.

Yes CS I see what you are saying, I have been a holder for two years now but I will be selling the lot today. It's really is just not worth the risk.
