09/10/2019 09:03 | Logged on late this morning - thus able to fast-forward through two hoursworth of postings in a few minutes rather than having to endure at live pace. Personally I am delighted that the company has reinforced its presence in the field of ceramic/refractory materials. I look forward to the relevant trade journals picking up the story and running it worldwide in the coming days/weeks - and looking forward to posters identifying which other furnace makers will now be looking at Versarien's Hexotene. EDIT: Here's a few US ones: | ![]() grabster

09/10/2019 08:59 | So boring CS... McLaren's order was a one-off for the special edition watch they produced. You need to try harder. | maisto
09/10/2019 08:54 | Super G Welcome back its good to see you on here to provide some balance . Your pretty wise . Whats not to like a great RNS moving forward So where is the negative in this that some see . I just cant see it . Ff | ![]() forestfred

09/10/2019 08:49 | Dgduncan - "Fullerex and other sources have no clue about VRS product sales so their figures are totally irrelevant." Sorry Dgduncan you are completely wrong, VRS and Fullerex have a consultancy agreement. hxxp://fullerex.com/ IMO fullerex will certainly know what price Nanene sells for and it will have an extremely good idea of what applications it will work in, to date the agreement has resulted in zero sales. NR only mentioned the other month that the agreement is still live and active on Twitter. | ![]() spid81
09/10/2019 08:48 | Woody Just waiting for the Ahhhh but xxx does Hbn, which will be a long wait and a very short list when they get there. In fact the ink hadn't even dried re Hbn ideas and then VRS won the CPI tender for it. All worldwide could apply for the tender which ends up with your product linked to big names worldwide, testing that even VRS can't probably see. molybdenum disulfide was 3rd on the VRS list as I recall. "However, the company has ambitions to move up the supply chain by creating functionalised materials using graphene as well as combining it with other compounds such as boron nitride and molybdenum disulphide." | ![]() superg1
09/10/2019 08:47 | Ian, instead of all the negative and personal posts, why not spend some time looking into Graphene enhanced Fabrics. May be start with the research team members at Manchester University that received the funding to work on the mass production of graphene fabrics and who they are linkedin to. Enjoy you day | ![]() landereo
09/10/2019 08:42 | Great to have our second collaboration using Hexotene announced, obviously gaining traction re the interest there. So many uses for so many different 2 dimensional materials...VRS just keeps derisking. Having overslept slightly this morning I realised that I've never owned shares in a company before where I haven't felt the need to set my alarm for 7:45 just in case there was a 'bad news RNS' out...great feeling! | ![]() woodpeckers
09/10/2019 08:41 | I thought Neill recently said he wasnt going to waste time on new collabs, why has this one dropped this morning? I would suggest they focus on the big stuff | ![]() tomduck
09/10/2019 08:39 | Although come to think of it, IAI haven't placed an order yet either, have they, despite the collab 'progressing well' (or words to that effect) at the time of the ID in March 2018? Hmmmm... | ![]() club sandwich
09/10/2019 08:37 | So NR *isn't* believable? You said it, brother. The only thing that stops me being convinced VRS is a massive fraud is the involvement of the Israeli and Chinese governments. Our own government is composed of moronic desperate fools who could easily be taken in by some shyster promising wonder materials that could save the economy. Anyone remember Peter Foster? But nobody pulls the wool over the eyes of the Israeli government - there wouldn't be a state of Israel if anyone could. Strange thing though, how people never place follow-up orders with VRS. McLaren bought that 1kg for £100k a few years back and never returned for more, and none of the samples have led to large orders, have they? Curious, I'm sure you'll agree. | ![]() club sandwich
09/10/2019 08:35 | NR did say at the AGM that Hexotene was not yet one of VRS priorities, and that production at Cheltenham would be confined to the original process. From this I take it that volumes will be confined to research programmes for the time being, which may be sufficient to supply Total Carbide and Insertec purposes for the time being. This position could change radically as the industrial applications for Hexotene astonishing thermal qualities become apparent. | ![]() shavian

09/10/2019 08:27 | Ahhh, just wait and see Ian, trouble is you have alienated yourself from what is actually going on , have a little look around , I and others have given some pointers but you are dwelling on the past. I know the PRG fiasco gave you quite a knock as that guy was very believeable, NR is not that person. Textiles is very interesting , have a look around, takes a while but you will get there. | ![]() luckyorange

09/10/2019 08:22 | And if we're waiting for governments to rubber-stamp *anything* we'll be waiting a long time! | ![]() club sandwich
09/10/2019 08:20 | "won't be long"So you bulls keep saying. Only problem is you never say how long that actually is (because you do not and cannot know) and collectively you've been saying it for more than a year now! | ![]() club sandwich
09/10/2019 08:16 | All heading in the right direction, well done neill and co - developing markets for hexotene ceramic products ! Lots of potential here. Dyor. Glalth. Best ellis FROM RNS : neill says - "with a view to enhancing the performance of their ceramics, used in foundries and other areas when molten metals are handled, through the addition of Versarien's Hexotene®.." Refractory Material Definition : "Material that can withstand very hightemper ALSO this from total carbide.. "..Total Carbide is adding Hexotene, an innovative 2d material produced by Total Carbide’s parent company Versarien, into a heat resistant ceramic which will increase its strength and enable a more lightweight solution..." "..With SPRINT (SPace Research and Innovation Network for Technology) support, the company will work with StressMap, the materials characterisation and measurement services business unit of The Open University, to test and measure new materials, designed to reduce the weight of the throat nozzle component by improving the material properties..." | ![]() ellissj
