Teepee, my note:

23/4/2018 Journal of Advanced Functional Materials: Uni of Exeter incorporate graphene into concrete. New material, >2x as strong; 4x more water resistant than existing concretes and reduces the carbon footprint in production. Can be used on building sites, all samples tested meet British and European standards. Exeter's Eng Dep: an absolute game-changer. Including graphene can reduce amount of materials to make concrete by 50%. The new technique centres on suspending in water; high yield, no defects, low cost. NOTE VRS has connections with Unis of Exeter, Liverpool and Ulster. (+ Manch and Camb.)

a little on concrete.

Researchers at the University of Exeter have developed a new nanoengineering technology to incorporate graphene into traditional concrete production to make a stronger and greener material.
Graphene, hailed as a wonder material, has been used to make anything from stronger condoms to conductive paint, and now it’s concrete’s turn.
The graphene-reinforced concrete is more than twice as strong and four times more water resistant than existing concretes, as well as more durable. Perhaps even more important, however, is that by including graphene, the amount of materials required to make concrete can be reduced by 50 per cent. As the production of concrete adds significantly to the global CO2 emissions, the new composite concrete can lead to much greener buildings.
To make the new material, the researchers developed a new technique that centres on suspending atomically thin graphene in water in a low-cost process. The technique produces a high yield of concrete without defects, and can be scaled up
The graphene-reinforced concrete passes British and European standards for construction and can be used directly by the construction industry.

for clarity.

The Term Sheet, which is subject to contract and formal BIGT board approvals, was signed on Sunday 14 April 2019 at a public ceremony in Shenzhen, China, attended by representatives of BIGT, the Company and from the Chinese and UK Governments.

BIGT was founded in 2017 by Aero Engine Corporation of China ("AECC"), Beijing Institute of Aeronautical Materials ("BIAM"), and the Beijing Government, based on nearly a decade of graphene research by BIAM.

AECC Beijing Institute of Aeronautical Materials (BIAM) was founded in 1956. It is one of the 154 key projects of China’s 1st five-year plan. It is the only comprehensive scientific research institute, which is oriented to the aviation industry and engaged in the application fundamental research, material development, application, technological and engineering research of advanced aeronautical materials. BIAM is the high level material R & D center in science, technology and industry for national defense. It is the key component of national science and technology innovation system and national defense science and technology innovation system.
After the development of over half century, BIAM has become a comprehensive scientific research institute with 17 research fields, 60 research directions, covering metallic materials, non-metallic materials, composites, material preparation and process, materials property testing, characterization and evaluation, which also provides professional services of standardization, failure analysis and materials database. It owns two national S&T key laboratories, one national engineering laboratory, two aeronautical scientific and technological key laboratories, two Beijing municipal key laboratories and engineering centers. With the development of opening policy, BIAM sets up five share-holding companies, represented by BAIMTEC Co. Ltd, which are the main platforms of transferring the scientific and technological research results of BIAM into production.
BIAM has over 2000 employees, including four academicians, over 100 domestic well-known material specialists and over 100 academic pioneers. It is one of the first 100 institutions in China which are authorized to confer doctorial degree. By the end of 2011, BIAM has achieved over 2400 research results, among which over 1100 are national and ministerial level, over 650 patents, over 300 technology know-hows. These research results are widely applied to industries, such as aeronautics, astronautics, weaponry, shipbuilding, electronics, nuclear, transportation, metallurgy, construction, chemical industry, medical industry, sports and etc.
Since its establishment, BIAM has been a well-known national leading institute in China. Today, all the staffs of BIAM are dedicating, with full confidence, their concerted efforts to advance towards the goal of building BIAM into a well-known world-class institute which takes leading position in the aviation material technology and creates a high and new technology material industry for China.

don't listen to the scumbags on here...sounds to me they are getting really desperate.

who are bigt...who are Tunghsu Optoelectronic Technology Co Ltd...who are..etc etc etc.

oh by the way...who are aecom...lol

they know there are massive deals about to drop.

we shouldn't get complacent about whats going on... its company changing in a big way.

all good for genuine shareholders.

Compared to the traditional paradigms for concrete, Solidia’s approach of replacing water with CO2 to promote crystallisation would indeed be innovative.

As I currently don’t understand the chemistry of the Solidia methodology I will certainly be looking with interest into the water free, low temperature, fast track production of concrete described in the Solidia website.

The link below is a very accessible and comprehensive guide to the traditional manufacturing processes of cements and the physical and chemical processes that take place following the introduction of water at various ratios that over time engender the widely varying mechanical and durability properties of traditional concrete.

The principle agent in the maturation of traditional concrete is calcium- silicon- hydrogen gel that forms during the hydration process following the introduction of water and results in the growth of nodules of crystalline structures that bond to the surfaces of the finest particles within the aggregate that then grow into and fuse across the pores or voids between the fine particles resulting in concretes of widely varying compressive and tensile strength.

Understanding the wide diversity of concretes allows a far better understanding of the incredible scale of the market opportunities for VRS in the construction sector in China via the BIGT hub and via AECOM globally.

Come on then Tim, post the proof!

Post me ONE example of me "deramping" VRS, come on, just ONE!

Ypu say I've done it so it shouldn't be too difficult should it?

I'm sure all the people you claim to be having doubts about me after your posts would be delighted to see you post just ONE example, so come on it can't be that difficult?

Otherwise people might begin to doubt the accuracy of what you're saying about me, perish the thought :-)

I don’t need to show you anything Andy, your posts speak for themselves, plenty of folk starting to see you for what you are...good luck with your strategy ;-)

-------

So what you're really saying is you can't post an example, because there isn't one!

And you then try and cover for that by making out you know what other people are thinking, when in fact you're the only poster to accuse me of deramping, and you can't even post an example, ................. because there isn't one!

Lol Andy, given up on the subtle part of your deramping now??

-------

I'm not sure what's sadder, your post or the 15 people that have ticked it up?

Kindly show me any example of where I have "deramped" VRS, it shouldn't be too hard should it?

The CIGIU website is quite clearly full of ridiculous claims that would make most serious people blush.

It's a lot better than Pateick Abbott's site though. I did a quick search and not one instance of CRUSH.

I'm frankly pretty stunned that VRS bulls think it is ok that NR can tweet that he has the London office address but is too busy to tweet it because he'd rather start a thread on 80s music.

The soap opera continues....
