Further proves the case against Versarien is running on fumes. If this really is the best you can do I would highly recommend shorters take this absolute gift of a share price to close and leave the company in peace to thrive and change the world.

Unilever has pledged to halve its use of newly made plastic by 2025, creating more reusable bottles and finding other alternative materials.

The company is currently responsible for producing 700,000 tons of new plastic a year.

CEO Alan Jope maintains that plastic is still a "terrific material," saying many of its alternatives are worse: "A hysterical move to glass may be trendy but it would have a dreadful impact on the carbon footprint of packaging."
