Evergreen - clearly there has been some misunderstanding. I do not care one jot for the approval of anyone on this board - except Fest, with whom I enjoy a lively email correspondence. If people like Woody want to converse convivially that's welcome, but I'm equally fine with the alternative. Water off a duck's back, of no consequence whatsoever. There will be no apology to Scrutable - what for, for pointing out his age? - and none for NR either.Y'all are getting terribly excited about Trafalgar Day - 2 weeks Monday. Let's see if this time - finally - Ricketts delivers something worthwhile: Christ knows it's long overdue. If he does then VRS has a very bright future. But he doesn't have a great track record of commercial delivery, does he? He's great at the talk, no doubt about that, but the rest is yet to be proved...

Club if you want more ticks of approval it would help if you could find a way to publicly apologise for the manner that you addressed scrutable recently and for the negative near defamatory comments re NR.

Do that and the VRS family will be far more willing to embrace you and express approval without resentment at your past questionable insensitivity.

I genuinely hope that your recent most positive expression of belief in our collective future will continue as it will better the zeitgeist of this BB that historically has been tainted by distasteful rhetoric that many here may consider you to have been a less than benign contributor.
