It always serves a purpose superg, NR is often retweeting things that have no connection with VRS as are many other organisations and individuals, don't want to be blinkered as to what is going on in other sectors.

Just for clarity as you raised the point. The solar panels mentioned are VRS connected.

As for other graphene uses in the early days it was good as it showed investors the vast array of uses for it.

I agree that it serves little purpose now.

The CEO of AGM held a tennis racket which made holders believe the graphene in it belonged to AGM which was false.

For some time Haydale confused the market having many believe they produce graphene which is also false.

With so many things in play for VRS in a range of industries with huge companies then quality graphene of the right type is going to appear in pretty much everything in the fullness of time. Spinal chord rebuilding to rockets, health monitoring and drugs delivery to fuel cells.

had a look on the other thread...what a farce.

we are right at the cutting edge.

this speaks absolute volumes.

Versarien plc (AIM: VRS), the advanced materials engineering group, is pleased to announce that the Company is the first graphene company in the world to successfully complete the Graphene Council's "Verified Graphene Producer" programme (the "Programme").

The US-based Graphene Council's Programme is an independent, third party verification system that involves a physical inspection of the production facilities, a review of the entire production process, a random sampling of product material and rigorous characterisation and testing by a leading, international materials laboratory. The Programme is based on the most recent developments in globally recognised graphene standards, surveys of graphene producers, researchers and users, as well as analysis of commercially available graphene products.

The Graphene Council have designed the Programme to be an important step in providing customers and end-users with a degree of confidence, that has not existed before, that they are sourcing material from a reputable supplier, bringing transparency and clarity to a rapidly changing and opaque market for graphene materials.

Terrance Barkan, Executive Director of The Graphene Council, commented: "Successful commercialisation of graphene materials requires not only the ability to produce graphene to a declared specification, but to be able to do so at a commercial scale. It is nearly impossible for a graphene customer to verify the type of material they are receiving without going through an expensive and time-consuming process of having sample materials fully characterised by a laboratory that has the equipment and expertise to test graphene.

"The Verified Graphene Producer programme developed by The Graphene Council provides a level of independent inspection and verification that is not available anywhere else.

"We are pleased to have worked with the National Physical Laboratory (NPL) in the UK, regarded as one of the absolute top facilities for metrology and graphene characterisation in the world. They have provided outstanding analytical expertise for the materials testing portion of the Programme."

Neill Ricketts, CEO of Versarien, commented: "We are delighted that Versarien is the first graphene producer in the world to successfully complete the Graphene Council's Verified Graphene Producer programme.
"This is a huge validation of our technology and will enable our partners and potential customers to have confidence that the graphene we produce meets globally accepted standards.
"There are many companies that claim to be graphene producers, but to enjoy the benefits that this material can deliver requires high quality, consistent product to be supplied. The Verified Producer programme is designed to verify that our production facilities, processes and tested material meet the stringent requirements laid down by the Graphene Council.
"I am proud that Versarien has been independently acclaimed as a Verified Graphene Producer and look forward to making further progress with our collaboration partners and numerous other parties that we are in discussions with."

Re: 'I find it painful when folks on advfn and twitter link any news related to graphene as something that is related to Versarien, or that they are involved with or potentially could help' - disagree a bit here. Yes I wish everything was VRS related but such posts imo reflects peoples excitement with the graphene market and the momentum graphene is gaining globally both scientifically and commercially and therefore underscores to some degree our graphene product / commercial offering especially if quality is required.

Re: 'Patrick Abbott - naive appointment in US' - well I warm to people of energy / vision mixed with product knowledge. Patrick imo couldn't be described as staid. The only aspect that was naive and possibly not thought through was in giving him the title of Vice President North American Operations which inferred PDMR which was not the case. I for one hope Patrick returns to VRS as a top salesperson which he is - with no RNS announcement and no fancy title.

The only thing that really matters in any company is the CEO as the spokesman.

First port of call is are they a lifestyle CEO and can you trust what they are telling you, are they being honest?

Second is do they put the hours of hard work in necessary to promote and grow the company.

Third are costs being strictly controlled by the CFO from the outset and not as a retrospective decision and do they have funding options for the future.

Most importantly is the CEO attempting to blindside PI investors without conscience, the consequences of doing that are obvious.

Bringing it down to that one final point, is it Neill's intention to do that?

Unlikely as he doesn't take responsibility lightly.

On another note EKT has been sold off which is where I believe Neill and Chris built their model together and were frustrated by the CEO there.

Lucky, don't want to put words in mavfav's mouth but my interpretation was that he meant that he is here to promote what he believes in... he can't see why someone would be here unless they are interested in the future of the company..we only want to spend time on something if we think it is likely to succeed (ignoring the shorters here as they are non-entities/leeches as far as I'm concerned).

Luckyorange maybe I came across wrong on that. I don't want anyone to lose money. I am very bought into the VRS family but if some want to sell I don't care if they lose money I meant.I have got to know some and their circumstance and I want them to reach their goals. In doing that I'm reaching mine too. That's a reverse look at it but I was a bit miffed at some of the comments and should have thought my response through better I know nooothing

superg,

The Obama ads were served by Massive Inc (then owed by Microsoft). One of three companies who were providing in-game ads in the mid 2000s. Massive Inc was acquired by Microsoft for between $200m-$400m in 2006.

Those companies came too early for a number of reasons, but most crucially they were before the rise of programmatic digital ad serving. The CEO of one of those companies (Double Fusion) is now an advisory board member for Bidstack.

Don't you think there are some of us who have already looked into all of this in detail?

It's well worth looking at the make up of the Bidstack Advisory board and NEDs.

I think we'll have to agree to disagree on this and leave it there.

Mavfav, disagree with the statement 'no-one is here for anyone other than themselves. Me included.'

In it for others who hopefully I will be able to give something to them so that they can have a better and more comfortable life than I have had, there would be a lot of satisfaction in that so that would be the benefit to me, but they come first and always have .

Money does not solve everything but having it does give you time to focus on the things that matter in life.

Children stop all this bickering please. All the time spent arguing means we are not looking at and discussing VRS.Some here obviously don't hold (So why are they here)Some here are obviously trading as you see the sentiment in the comments (Churn is ok but don't lie to ramp and then sell and deramp to buy)Some hold and will continue to hold and too up funds permitting (Find stuff, and open up for convo) Some have researched but not all can be right. My perspective is no-one is here for anyone other than themselves. Me included. I'm invested here and happy to spend my time promoting and researching the company and potential. What I don't understand is why someone who obviously isn't invested wants to spend time on these boards Then I realised. They do want in and want to fleece the un-researched into selling so they can buy.Think about it the Most precious thing you have is time so why would you waste it on something you claim or appear to have no interest in. They don't imho there is an agenda and you just have to make your own decisions I know nooothing
