Like it!Versarien has appointed an expert in "business scale up" to its board.and with Global responsibilities too!All we need now is the BIGT deal to give VRS the cash to rapidly expand globally. Sense it's all coming together nicely!

Today's news as reported in Punchline Gloucester (with picture of Susan, and video of Jeremy Naylor interview with Neill Ricketts):

Experts and a global leader in all things graphene, Cheltenham-headquartered Versarien has appointed an expert in "business scale up" to its board.

Famously founded in the Forest of Dean nine years ago before catapulting itself to AIM-listed status just three years later, the business has named Susan Bowen as its latest non-executive director.
Ms Bowen, 45, is currently president and chief executive officer of Cogeco Peer 1, a Canadian headquartered company providing managed IT services.

The news comes as Verarien also reveals it has secured its first graphene order from an unnamed U.S-based company believed to be in the oil and gas sector.

According to Versarien Ms Bowen is "responsible for providing leadership and direction for the company globally, with a strong focus on helping customers scale their business".
Neill Ricketts, founder and ceo of Versarien, said: "We are delighted to welcome Susan Bowen to the Versarien board. She brings strong digital, commercial and people management skills gained from her current and previous transformational roles.

"In particular Susan has significant experience in business scale up and we look forward to utilising her skills and experience as Versarien progresses its graphene commercialisation strategy."
Ms Bowen is also a non-executive director of JISC, a membership organisation providing digital solutions for UK education and research and a member of the techUK membership, finance and performance board.

Prior to joining Cogeco Peer 1 in 2016, she spent 17 years at Hewlett Packard, latterly as chief of staff UK and Ireland and formerly as director of strategy in the UK and Ireland.
Susan Bowen holds no ordinary shares in the capital of the Company.

Versarien plc (AIM:VRS) describes itself as "an advanced engineering materials group. Leveraging proprietary technology, the Group creates innovative engineering solutions for its clients in a diverse range of industries. Versarien has six subsidiaries operating under two divisions".

PS: Was she photographed in a phonebox?

Hilarious. It does not constitute research sticking you finger in the air and coming out with rubbish like 60p raise. You are not in the real world and 60p has been rubbished by Neil himself. He would not entertain any deal at that level. It's a wish, not a researched piece of info.

Here are 6 off the top of my head. Please feel free to add some more, these 'WILL' happen at some point and quite possibly before Sept 30th:

1) China deal (The team are hoping to get this nailed before the AGM. This will be game changing as injects more cash for growth and development but also BIGT will act as a beacon for Chinese companies who will be encouraged to use the only verified Graphene in the world, ours)

2) Further Order (The stream starts with a trickle before it becomes a raging river. So we could start to see an incremental increase in actual commercial orders)

3) A new big name collab (A new industry or region, options are limitless and the VRS door is being knocked upon regularly)

4) Progress update on any collab reaching next stage (Probably in interims but could be a significant milestone reached)

5)Results (Expect positivity in outlook statement and collab progressing rather than financial results; would be very surprised and even disappointed if showing profit as company moving into growth and development stage and should be directing all spare capital into that now that the foundations are set)

6) Operation Seesaw (likely to be fun and light hearted but should give further confidence the team are progressing in right direction and give a few a sneak peek at the future which will no doubt be shared)

Agreed Alchemy. Soak up your shares circa 90-110p and it will not be long before this venture starts to give back hundreds of percent. I'm not selling till at least a tenner:)))

I'm an ordinary mortal Spike! The future is always a tease. There's just a modest statistical look at collaborations and geographies involved .Japan Korea India Uk maybe US Europe . One each or 3,2,1 0,0,0?Or sector segments, batteries, chargers, EVs, concrete, medicine, water purification _ and others.Ok it was just an admittedly positive picture , with a suggested dampener.I didn't add the dyor ,,, or eoe , and ...but £3 will happen at some time ...Imho. Alchemy: re your: there’ll be at least six other positives before September 30th.

I note not a hint of hesitation in your proclamation: 'there WILL be'.

Excuse my crass ignorance but what do YOU mean by 'positives'? and - more importantly - how come you know so much about VRS that us mere mortals do not?

There are myriad of things expected to strap rockets to the share price here, so I've tried to think carefully about the trajectory of the share up to a marcap of £500 million . I really think this could happen before Autumn , defined here, by decree, as October ' The main dampener I'll come to. The uplifts we all know. To reach 300p from 100p in sixty working days gives a mean rise of over 3p per day.How much of a dampener the dampener is depends on timing. The timing of the good news. Before or after , roll of drums, the Results. It's possible but not certain that they could dampen things down because those who wish to use them as such will do. Those looking ahead will shrug and buy on dips.China will be after results, AECOM we don't know, and there'll be at least six other positives before September 30th.Low 90p achieved by Autumn £3. Volatile upward rise. Three bagger in a Quarter.?

I'm sure if the 12kgs order was for a paltry amount the corrupt city nomad cartel would have leaked it somehow to their mates and the price would now be dropping accordingly. Or am I assuming too much power in their hands? Can vrs keep secrets from their nomad?

I assume the value of the order won't show up in the next set of figures so it will give the TW@ scumbags something else to lie about.

Re the RNS for the order, I have no issues at all about not knowing the value of the order or the amount of graphene used in the products. It would be stupid to inform the world about concentrations, values, gross profits on individual orders and/or clients. Commercial insanity.
I am only concerned that the company is growing into a multinational and hopefully a most rewarding company for its shareholders,

Been away for a few days, Two very good RNSs. The building blocks are continuing apace. Well done Neill and the VRS team.

Re the lying toad TW, it is all about his ego, envy and hubris. He and his rather pathetic friends will stoop to any level to try to destroy. They themselves are incapable of building fabulous companies like VRS. So they spread lies and falsehoods, not only about the company but also about people. How low the vermin will go.

You've already posted that ^^^ twice before. It's not interesting enough to repeat once, let alone 3 times.

Are you trying to move questioning posts off the front page?

What do you think 1retire? Is Susan Bowen pregnant & about to go on maternity leave?

Why commission a 3 tonnes machine you don't foresee using it efficiently?

Why bring in a new 'commercialisation' expert if you don't foresee commercialisation?

Unless they are thick or useless businessmen, there is an obvious plan. And to boot, the company delineated such a plan and so far has been followed step by step.
