Great news VRS shareholders.

VRS has announced previously a 1kg sale of Nanene which warranted an RNS,

Today we have seen another RNS for 12kg of the larger GNP-HP graphene,

Can someone please explain this to me,

If 1kgs of Nanene or 12kgs of GNP-HP is the benchmark to warrant an RNS,

Is it safe to assume that none of the other 40+ collaboration partners in Superg1's header have requested 1kg of Nanene or 12kgs of GNP-HP over the past 3 years?

It certainly paints plenty of doubt over the collaboration partners, all is progressing well and none of the tests have failed, but no one is buying.

Ade - yes mud is often lost while drilling and sometimes complete losses. Depends very much on the formations.

Grabster,

Interesting how an idea by a follower on NR twitter thread about ingress of water
on pre cast concrete infills got a 'you are ahead of the pack' comment by Neill.

OK we need a 'readymix' bag of cement for all those small jobs, I guess it would be
a little like a 'master batch'.

Add Water and hey presto.

Name 'Cementene Readymix' !!! (Get that name trademarked quickly Neill )

Fortunately, devising recipes or guessing what they might be - for cement or composites or whatever - isn't something we bulletin posters have to fret about; that's the company's job. I an happy to leave all that stuff to them. ;-)

Hello dg,

Well I guess the argument goes:
'if cement is good enough for job why put nanene in at extra cost?'

Maybe Nanene makes it STRONGER so you don't need as much cement?
Maybe Nanene gives 'extra' engineering margin?
Maybe the water resistance enhancement of Nanene is useful?
Maybe the higher temperature resistance is useful?

If you follow your argument why use Nanene in any cement application?

You have to 'engineer' the cement to use Nanene to best effect and do a cost
benefit analysis.
Just my thoughts..

Cement in the oilfield is much the same as cement from other industries with properties suited to the borehole requirements.

Johnveals - if the job is not done right then an enhanced version will not help so I feel there would be no part to play in this particular situation.

Where do oil companies get their cement from, someone like Aecom or do they make it themselves.

dgduncan - Very true, however does mitigating risk have a part to play in an economic case?
